Qualis Corporation is seeking a Information Technology System Administrator to support the Guided Weapons Evaluation Facility(GWEF) performing Engineering Advisory and Assistance Support (A&AS) functions for the 782 Test Squadron (782 TS). This position is located at Eglin AFB, FL.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of classified Information Systems (IS) and data using Air Force approved network engineering practices, information security standards and approved industry best practices.

  • Provide IT support for test area real-time computers, support computers and network systems.

  • Deploy/implement approved new technologies.

  • Provide IT support for application development, planning, network implementation, systems integration, communication support, computer-communication maintenance, asset management and security controls

  • Provide IT function for collecting, controlling, disseminating, documenting, and resolving user questions and problems

  • Assist the government in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), System Security Plans (SSP) and Approval to Operate documentation

  • Development, implementation and updating of Information Management Plans.

  • Development, coordination and implementation of short and long term strategies for reliable and secure operation, evolution, and growth of the automation hardware and software infrastructure.

  • Perform upgrades, security patches, back-ups, account maintenance, and access control maintenance.

  • Provide CM for security-relevant information system software, hardware and firmware

  • Perform generation and collection of audit logs for IS.

  • Perform system changes in accordance with the organizational Configuration Management (CM) Plan.

  • Configure IS using DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), STIG Viewer, HBSS and ACAS

  • Provide system administration support to ISSO/ISSM

  • Ensures system security assessments are completed and documented

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other relevant field with 3-10 years experience. Experience may be substituted for education with government approval.

  • Must be compliant with DoD 8570.01-M with Security+ certification.

  • Knowledge and experience with Cybersecurity requirements, network technologies, and computer security as applied to Department of Defense (DoD) systems and networks

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating Systems (OS) environments.

  • Experience with building, configuring and sustaining Windows Domains

  • Experience with creating and managing Group Policies

  • Basic understanding of Windows PowerShell and Python scripting

  • Basic understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP, UDP, Layer 2 and Layer 3

  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose system problems is required

  • Experience with DISA STIGs, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC) and STIG Viewer preferred

  • Experience with developing standard operating procedures, system security plans and ATO documentation

  • Familiarity/proficiency with processes and functions, information technology hardware and software products, as well as, computer peripherals (e.g. printers, monitors, hard drives, docking stations, scanners, etc.).

  • Must have an understanding of the specific processes and procedures of the Air Force Test Center and DoD regulations and guidelines.

  • Must exemplify a dedication to achieving the mission of the 96TW as well as high standards of quality and excellence in performing the duties.

  • Must have ability to quickly understand the customers overall technical objectives and mission and provide effective solutions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities required.

  • Strong customer service, leadership and team building skills

  • Must be able to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Must be willing to travel up to 5%.

Security Clearance:

  • Must hold an active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance with last investigation within 5 years.

Performs research. testing, and implementation of new hardware and software loads to include COTS, GOTS, and SAMS-ESA unique software such as Jockey, Services Too, Bus Driver, and Short Bus as required. Creates and implements processes and procedures to ensure the provisioning and maintenance of SAMS-ESA is consistent with customer requirements, industry best practices and information assurance controls. Uses Remedy or other task management tools to track task progress and provide data for trend analysis, and service improvement recommendations. Responsible for maintaining SAMS-ESA computers with current configurations and monthly mission product updates for global distribution. Provides software maintenance in the form of inspections and operational check of all hardware and software prior to installation. Assists in defining and creating SOPs, TTP, and other support documentation to be used in the training of SAMS-ESA users on hardware and software capabilities and operation, locally or deployed locations. Assist with related configuration, problem and knowledge management efforts related to SAMS-ESA initiatives. 1. Working knowledge of Performance Flight Planning Software (PFPS) and Improved Many On Many (IMOM) 2. Must be able to identify, analyze and troubleshoot computer and network related problems effectively 3. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects across the team 4. Experience in developing Standard Operating Procedures, Tactics, Techniques , and Procedures for Integration & Testing and Operational assets 5. Experience providing IT support to USSOCOM weapons systems 6. Advanced knowledge of Command & Control systems, Radio Frequency and Datalink communications is highly desired 7.
