Duties/Responsibilities

  • Administration of the Active Directory infrastructure, configuration, and security.

  • Perform maintenance of the data backup systems.

  • Monitor server performance, network capacity, and security issues.

  • Assists with audits on existing software to verify authorized use and license certification.

  • Maintain and monitor the email system.

  • Remain up-to-date on products available in the market; support new technologies.

  • Disaster Recovery Testing; working with multiple departments in testing disaster recovery plans.

  • Virtual Server Configuration; primarily working within a VMware environment, performing move and add changes of the VMware infrastructure.

  • Application virtualization; working with hardware, software, and configurations at datacenter locations as well as with primary vendor (Microsoft).

  • Maintenance of SAN, SQL, SCCM, and other IT related technologies.

Education

  • Requires 3 or more years of Information Technology experience.

Server+, Network+, MCITP, MCSA, or MCSE certification preferred.

  • Technical skills in Microsoft Server OS, Networking, and Powershell Scripting.

  • Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Purpose: The Network Administrator will assist with supporting, monitoring and maintaining all network, server, storage, and security infrastructure. This position will work with the Director of IT, network administrators, project managers, engineers, managers and end users to provide support, diagnose issues and provide guidance concerning the capabilities of our network and to review and suggest improvements as the business needs warrant. This position will also support the security, reliability, availability and performance of the enterprise network infrastructure. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Support our enterprise network infrastructure including Cisco router, switch, firewall, ISE, and Meraki. * Support our corporate network including WAN/MPLS networks, * Support our Cisco Phone systems, VOIP, and SIP Trunks * Support all levels of network security including virus scan, spam filtering, and firewall/vpn/domain access. * Monitor and maintain physical datacenter design and security. * Assist with level 2/3 service desk escalation * Assist with Windows Server Domain design, maintenance, and support which will include Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, File and Print servers, and DFSR. * Assist supporting Microsoft Exchange 2013 environment. * Assist supporting physical server, virtualization and storage infrastructure including Cisco UCS, Nimble and VMWare ESXi. * Assist supporting backup and recovery processes, procedures, and systems. * Maintain excellent documentation and SOP's. * Strong trouble shooting/diagnostic skills Education and Experience: * 2 year degree with a technology focus required. Bachelor degree strongly preferred. * 3 to 5 years of network, phone, email and server support experience. * Cisco CCNA and/or Microsoft MSCE preferred. * Experience working in manufacturing environments and with process control networks a plus. * Experience working in a team environment a plus Business Skills: * Analytical and problem solving skills * Planning and Scheduling capabilities * Proven success in troubleshooting, problem management, and root cause analysis * Ability to learn and understand business processes and requirements * Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Technical Skills: * Proficiency within Microsoft Networking Environments from a Client/Server prospective. * Proficiency in implementing and supporting Cisco routers, switches, wireless access points, VOIP phones, and unified communications. * Proficiency in supporting firewalls, internet connectivity, WAN, MPLS networks preferred. * Familiar with implementation virtual technologies such as VMware, HyperV, or Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop a plus * Familiar different areas of security such as network access, web and spam filtering, camera systems, and card access a plus. Travel: Some travel may be required for certain projects to one of our other plants or to attend training. Schedule: This is flexible, but looking for a 7:30am to 4:30pm.
