Position: IT Systems Administrator

Location: Irvine, CA - Onsite Required

Position Description:

The successful IT Help Desk Specialist will be a highly organized self-starter who supports and maintains the company's IT resources including software, hardware and networked systems. The goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently at the user level. This position has significant opportunity for development and learning the technical aspects of building a scalable, secure and stable IT environment.

Required Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Extensive customer service experience is a must

  • Strong MS Office skills required

  • Team player able to effectively interact cross-functionally with a variety of individuals with different competencies and backgrounds

  • Maintain SQL Updates/Upgrades with guidance from LOB application vendors

  • Self-propelled work ethic with ability to stay on task and focused with minimal supervision

  • Willingness to work on a flexible work schedule, and travel as the job requires

  • Exceptional communicator, both written and oral

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong attention to detail and organization

  • Technical problem solving, project management, dependability, initiative, and professionalism are of the utmost importance

  • Extensive knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems

  • Solid networking and system administration - Understanding of network switches, routers, and firewalls is required

  • Networking knowledge covering LAN/vLAN/WAN technologies

  • Microsoft 365 Administration experience required

  • Experience with network monitoring tools a plus

Required Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems, basic networking design/protocols, virtualization

  • General knowledge of system security (operating systems, firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.)

  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Able to work both within a team environment and independently

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years of infrastructure management and support experience

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Systems Administrator experience.

  • Previous experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role

  • BS/BA preferred; professional certifications (i.e. MCSA, MCP, VCP, etc.) are a plus

Clearance Level Required: No Security Clearance Required; US Person Required

Travel: None anticipated

Working Conditions

The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to a warehouse environment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25-50 lbs.

  • Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites.

  • Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine.

Salary: $75,000 - $100,000

Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.

Pay Range: $75,000 - $100,000 per hour
