Purpose and Scope
Delivers at a high level of competency in information systems support, training and assistance for Information Technology; assesses and performs analysis on data, and prepares data to facilitate Technical Services functions of organization. Responsibilities require understanding of both theory and practice.
Essential Job Functions
1.Develops and applies solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity and competency in: Storage Area Network Administration, VMware virtual infrastructure administration, Microsoft Exchange Administration, Enterprise wide virus scanner administration on servers and desktops and Enterprise wide document imaging management administration, DCHP administration and DNS administration.2.Installs, configures, tests, managers, monitors and supports various computer application and systems.
Setup, deploy and perform system administration on Windows and Linux servers. Configures and maintains Windows Group Policies Enterprise wide.3.Takes steps necessary to ensure system security (Active Directory) and data integrity; implements emergency procedures in the event of power failures or major system/network failures.4.Converses with management to determine type, scope, and purpose of analyses. May lead a team in the effort.
Work with other analysts and management to complete assigned project work.5.Deals with complex problems and provide solutions that are innovative and ingenious, achieving quality and work process improvements. 6.Ensure that the workgroups goals and activities are in sync with and support the broader goals and objectives of the organization; and that the execution of responsibilities is in accordance to lawful and ethical standards. 7.Directs and assists in the preparation and maintenance of a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records, correspondence, and files related to assigned service, activities, and operations. 8.Creates and implements a disaster recovery plan and commences escalation procedures as needed.9.Provides for appropriate research and compiles reports, as needed.10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science plus an additional 4 years related experience, or equivalent, for a total education/experience of 8 years. MCSA certification and VMware certification preferred. Requires a valid state driver's license.
