Position:IT Support Technician
The Associate IT Support role works as a part of a high-energy team to provide quality computer and phone support while maintaining the high degree of customer service. As a part of this role, you will handle tier I support tasks including evaluation and prioritization of incoming requests. To excel in this role, you will need be self-motivated, willingness to learn, good judgment to resolve issues and to ensure a positive experience for end-users.
Role and Responsibility:
Assess user needs on work related issues.
Setup, disconnect, reconnect and move computers, phones and peripherals in compliance with enterprise standards
Provide accurate and timely logging of all problems, requests and resolutions in ticketing system
Participate in team projects that enhance the quality or efficiency of end user support services
Resolve operational problems and questions with both hardware and software
Perform minor upgrades on PCs
Install, configure and troubleshoot PC hardware, software and related peripheral equipment
Experience, Qualifications and Education:
Associate's degree in a related area and 1-2 years of Help Desk Support experience
Working knowledge of PC hardware, software and operating systems like Windows XP, Windows 7
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a self-directed environment while upholding team standards
Familiarity with Encryption Software, Antivirus, Cisco VIOP phones, Exchange Management Console (EMC), Active Directory, Citrix, Smartphone preferred
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
