Provides support services to internal and/or external users for software, applications, hardware, and telecommunications related issues. Troubleshoot core bank applications, Microsoft applications, hardware errors, and Operating System. Collect information, open tickets, perform triage, and resolve or escalate issues related to new hardware/software requests, network, application software and telecommunications to the appropriate staff.


  • Assist and support users with the use of core banking applications, standard software, Windows, MS Office and other related banking business solutions. Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming telephone, voicemail, email, and Self Service site requests for assistance.

  • Maintain the Technical Support Software (ServiceNow) by identifying trends and accurately capturing details to enable the incident Management function to improve IT processes and systems through accurate reporting. Create and update documentation on established Technical Support procedures and processes, problem resolution steps, and escalation procedures. Make recommendations to management on updates and changes needed

  • Identify and troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, mobility, and telecommunication issues.

  • Responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents with respect to networking and desktop environments, including LANs, WANs, remote access, and VPNs.

  • Perform diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions to correct common failures utilizing remote access tools.

  • Responsible for performing installations and configuring computers/laptops using standard processes and tools.

  • Partner in a 24X5 global support team. May be required to be on-call during specific times/projects. Escalates complex problems to higher level of expertise within the organization.

  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.

  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding

Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

  • High school diploma or GED or the equivalent in vocational training. College degree in information technology preferred.

  • Previous practical experience in a personal computer network environment.

  • Two years of IT related Help Desk experience required.

  • Broad technical knowledge of troubleshooting and resolving a wide variety of user problems.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  • Specialized education in IT support tools and applications.

  • A+ or MTA certification required. MCSA, MCSE or MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) certification preferred.

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols and PC knowledge, including hardware and software configuration, directory tree structure, Windows Messaging services, Active Directory, and Internet Explorer.

  • Good working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office software package, Active Directory, and system management tools. Proficient in MS Office Suite, Enterprise Networks, banking computer system, and print device troubleshooting in a networked environment.

  • Possess outstanding customer service skills and the ability to communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical staff.

  • Good research, analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to manage time efficiently and work under stressful conditions.

  • Good working understanding of computer hardware architecture concepts and technology related terminology. Ability to effectively log tickets in call tracking software.

  • Basic understanding of accounting/record keeping. Bank related experience preferred.

  • Demonstrate continuing education through independent studies, monthly subscriptions and periodicals.


  • Office environment no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands. Limited travel.

Position Summary Job Description Position Summary: The Business Support Specialist works collaboratively with the entire Support Services team to provide a variety of support related services and is responsible for processing outgoing and interoffice mail, sorting and distributing incoming mail, shipping and receiving packages, bindery operations, providing courier services to multiple locations, fleet management, operating and maintaining specialized mail processing machinery on a daily basis. The Business Support Specialist will partner with the Facilities team to ensure proper maintenance of our equipment at sites, receiving and delivery of supplies and supports our Safety program by assisting with inspections, maintaining supplies and performing ergonomic evaluations for employees of Martin's Point Health Care. Key Outcomes: * Transports mail, confidential information, x-rays and medical records, equipment, and supplies in a courteous, respectful and timely manner to ensure efficient flow of information throughout all locations * Receive, collect, sort, and deliver interoffice mail, USPS mail, UPS, FedEx and other carrier letters and small packages company-wide for multiple locations in accordance with USPS, FedEx and various vendors regulations * Processes outgoing mail and packages from our internal department according to department guidelines * Receive incoming shipments to verify correctness of items, check for damaged goods, ensure that goods are appropriately routed to various departments * Scan package deliveries using Tektrack software to monitor and maintain receiving log and collaborate with Procurement to reconcile Purchase Orders * Safely and effectively maintains and operates USPS approved postage equipment and machinery; inserting, collating, folding, stuffing and coordinating with mail processing * Identify, set up and program the Pitney Bowes inserter machine according to job requirements while performing quality checks during the production run * Provides exceptional customer service, production coordination, quality control and supply management in support of the department's balanced scorecard * Receive, transport and log check/cash deposits from MPHC locations to TD Bank * Transports pharmaceuticals, lab specimens, toxic waste bio-medical instruments and hazardous materials, between our sites and offsite facilities in compliance with federal, state and local government guidelines * Safely operates MPHC vehicles according to MPHC protocol * Assures all records and logs maintained by the team are accurate and remain up-to-date according to governmental and department guidelines * Maintains active Ergonomic Team Member status by attending team meetings/training sessions and performing ergonomic evaluations * Serves as backup for answering the Support Services emergency hot line by prioritizing and coordinating response according to the level of emergency and established protocols * Performs quarterly safety inspections and maintains first aid kits throughout the organization * Active involvement in quality improvement projects and initiatives in support of the fiscal integrity of the organization * Maintains individual work area and team area in a clean and organized fashion * Assist in identifying process and quality improvements * Maintains vehicle maintenance for the MPHC fleet; manage annual inspections, tracking mileage, registration, repairs, fueling, transpass, insurance and monthly billing invoices for Martin's Point fleet of vehicles * Other duties as assigned Education/Experience: * Valid Maine driver's license * High School diploma or GED * 4+ years mailroom operations or relevant work experience Skills/Knowledge/Competencies (Behaviors): * Demonstrates an understanding of and alignment with Martin's Point Values. * Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with attention to detail * Must be able to follow written and oral instruction * Visual acuity and fine motor skills are needed for daily routine tasks * Maintain confidentiality and be able to function independently in a team environment * Must be comfortable in a high energy environment * Knowledge of mechanical operations of mailroom equipment * Must have strong computer skills – ability to program various systems including Pitney Bowes inserter, Pitney Bowes USPS postal machine, Tektrack software and database management * Prompt, neat, courteous and efficient in dealings with staff, patients and external customers * Strong communications skills – ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization demonstrating tact, diplomacy and sensitivity * Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job to include bending, stooping, standing for long periods of time and lifting up to lift 50 pounds * Model good safety habits We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
