Overview

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Provide Information Technology support for MBP Team Members and other clients. Perform IT administrative processes and procedures. Assist with IT projects as necessary.

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Primary helpdesk and technical support contact for MBP team members and other clients. Respond to requests for Information Technology support.

  • Assist users with a variety of hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, diagnose, research, and resolve technical problems. Track problems to ensure a timely resolution.

  • Maintain various IT systems and services.

  • Install and configure various hardware and software systems.

  • Schedule and perform updates, upgrades, and repairs.

  • Perform periodic hardware and software systems maintenance.

  • Receive and inventory new hardware and software.

  • Assist with asset inventories and other related processes.

  • Perform hardware and software provisioning and deprovisioning.

  • Configure and prepare new systems for distribution and existing systems for reassignment or disposal, following established MBP guidelines, procedures, and practices.

  • Perform IT Orientation processes.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Perform general IT Administrative duties.

  • Create and maintain IT documentation and other workflows.

  • Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of MBP's audio/visual resources.

  • Assist team members with audio/visual needs. Assist with company meetings and other business-related events.

  • Develop IT Specialist workflows and processes and provide input for improving MBP's IT Operations.

  • Train MBP users in IT systems where appropriate.

  • Perform various IT processes and procedures following MBP's established procedures.

  • Assist with various special projects and other assignments. Perform other tasks as developed and assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:

Associate degree or two years' experience in Information Technology or related field. Appropriate Information Technology training, experience, and certifications. Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures, within the IT field.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Proficient at Information Technology maintenance and support. Proficient at troubleshooting and resolving Information Technology related issues. Familiarity with Information Technology concepts and practices. Solid analytical, organizational, technical, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks while focusing on quality and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to independently manage assigned workloads.

GUIDANCE/RESPONSIBILITY:

Works under the supervision of the IT Manager. Ability to work independently, seeking guidance and direction when necessary.

None.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.

  • The team member is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • The team member is occasionally required to climb or balance.

  • The team member must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
