The IT Support Team is responsible for providing IT helpdesk assistance and ensuring excellent service to Sequoia team members so that they can do the same for our clients.

What You Get To Do

  • Provide Tier 1 - 3 support to both onsite and remote users and systems administration for backend infrastructure, network and cloud applications

  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues with laptop, multifunction printers, smart phones, tablets and IT related hardware/software

  • Software duties include installing, upgrading, and maintaining Windows OS, Windows Server operating systems as well as Office 2016 and antivirus software

  • Perform AD and Office 365 administration such as account creation, account removal, maintenance, and policies

  • Responsible for hardware inventory and software licensing

  • New hire deployments, laptop imaging and setup including network/email accounts and computer hardware

  • Provide VoIP phone installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, adds, moves and changes

  • Assist with Systems Administration tasks and projects such network/data security, backups, patching, VMware, network issues, antivirus scan schedules, etc.

  • Maintain and update documentation, i.e. procedures, diagrams, inventory, and knowledge articles

  • Support and manage all Audio-Visual equipment

  • May require occasional work on weekends and/or holidays

  • Lots of opportunities for challenging projects and deployment of new technology


  • Bachelor's degree in a related technology field

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in IT Support role

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under challenging conditions

  • Experience with imaging and endpoint management systems

  • Experience with Active Directory, Windows servers and MS Office 365 account management

  • Experience with Windows 7/10, Office 365, Antivirus technologies

  • Experience with networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and Wi-Fi/WAP

  • Knowledgeable in IT security domains including user directories, single sign-on and encryption

Job Summary UCSF has recently invested resources in a Finance department reorganization in order to better support our operations and further our fiscal and strategic goals. This reorganization identified a need for an additional Decision Support Analyst to focus on budget development, labor productivity reporting, general financial analysis, and operational objective support. The Decision Support Analyst brings deep analytic skills to bear on largely unexplored or misunderstood financial and operational data to develop insights on where and how to focus organizational or departmental improvement efforts. The Analyst uses advanced knowledge of financial and clinical systems and industry practices to turn generalized opportunities into specific tactics to support operational efficiencies and strategic planning, and supports operational leaders and their teams on how to connect cost (and related savings) to the work performed. The Analyst will be a critical part of a team that may consist of physicians and other healthcare providers, and department leaders or process owners within IT, Finance, and operations. Responsibilities will include gathering data and producing complex analyses / investigations of performance, utilization, and financial analyses in support of budget development, billing and collection of revenue, and tracking of performance. Analyzes, evaluates and troubleshoots complex schedules and data for data errors and problems, designing, testing and applying functional solutions. The Analyst is responsible for reporting on the accountability of performance initiatives and budget adherence. Ensures details comply with finance policies and procedures. Gathers data and information from the managerial financial reporting system, the EPSi budget advisor system, and other applications to integrate overall financial performance at a cost center, division and other hierarchical levels. Provides for the measurement and benchmarking of business operations in relation to best business practices for the healthcare industry and internal business objectives, developing and presenting quantitative business cases to operational leaders and their teams. Develops and maintains key relationships with organizational functional areas to meet the organization's needs for effective system-wide financial ad hoc analyses. Maintains internal cost accounting system flex budget standards according to labor productivity targets and industry standards. The successful candidate will work closely with analytic peers, leadership, medical center and faculty practice finance teams, decision support professionals, department managers, and outside consultants. The candidate must be able to thrive and succeed in a changing environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. An ability to take sparse information and successfully break down projects, initiatives and strategic priorities is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, and analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role. Required Qualifications * Three years Decision Support or Financial Analysis experience * Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training * Thorough understanding of decision support systems, with knowledge of business statistics, quantitative methods, relational databases, business development scorecards, data modeling, and performance and profitability analysis * Thorough knowledge of issues in clinical finance, planning, financial data management, and business development; skills to effectively utilize the tools to produce meaningful findings and actionable intelligence * Detail oriented, with strong ability to effectively manage time. Skills to effectively address complex, urgent issues as they arise * Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively on complex projects in a team environment with interdepartmental personnel at a variety of professional and technical levels * Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to interpret and convey complex technical and financial information in a clear, concise manner, and to make cogent presentations of analyses, reports, and investigation results * Strong problem-solving skills and analytical ability, and strong knowledge of documentation and reporting, with the ability to run queries, complex studies, and forecasts * Proven ability to work with senior staff and managers across departments, serving as a technical resource in decision support, and providing recommendations and advice on decision support processes, business and financial issues, and industry trends and advances * The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations Preferred Qualifications * Experience using EPSi or another hospital decision support software application is desirable, as is having worked in an EPIC health records environment * Experience at an academic medical center * Experience with commonly-used healthcare data sources (e.g., UHC's CDB/RM or ODB/Action OI databases, Sg2, etc.) * Experience with health care facility cost accounting and/or billing systems * Experience working with patient financial data in an acute hospital setting.
