Position Description:
Provide clerical, administrative, and technology related support to internal and external customers of the ITS Department. Oversee the life-cycle management of all information technology (IT) assets including acquisition, inventory tracking and disposal of hardware and software. Provide research and documentation to IT management related to IT assets. Serve as the Administrative point of contact for the IT department.
Essential Functions:
Provide customer service to the IT department, which may include: answering telephones, responding to inquiries and information requests from both internal and external customers, scheduling meetings, taking accurate and delivering timely messages, dealing with vendors, and greeting visitors.
Perform daily clerical activities such as opening/sorting/delivering mail, preparing documents for mailing, assisting with preparation or clean-up of meetings or events, maintaining, filing and retrieving records in accordance with IT processes, and copying, assembling and distributing materials.
Perform administrative tasks, as assigned, which could include: researching, compiling, and producing reports, setting up and maintaining spreadsheets and databases, completing forms, logging or posting information, maintaining and monitoring budget information, coordinating with the Business Office regarding department expenditures, purchase orders, and requisitions, approving payment of invoices for monthly bills, estimating department expenses throughout the year to assist in budget preparation, and maintaining payroll and attendance.
Coordinate, implement, and improve overall operational practices and procedures within the department in collaboration with staff. Maintain district standards, including updating IT website. Assist in IT Budgeting and IT Process Improvement.
Process new and recurring hardware and software purchases from quote initiation to receipt of hardware and software. Ensure purchases initiated outside of the department are in compliance with IT standards for hardware, software, and vendor selection.
Administer procurement process for hardware replaced by ITS technicians in resolving system problems for users. Maintain documentation for returned parts ensuring vendors receive the returned parts back in a timely manner. Communicate with vendors, the delivery service, the technician, warehouse personnel, and the users, as needed.
Assist with District badge system; including printing new badges for staff.
Maintain asset management database.
Perform all other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.
Job Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of one year related experience in business process improvement and performing data analysis.
Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, email and Internet connectivity.
Knowledge of personal computer repair, software implementation and basic network administration skills.
Education:
Associates Degree in appropriate field, or High School diploma and equivalent work experience

Hiring Range:
$38,123 to $42,082 annually dependent on experience, plus additional $9,000 compensation for salary-in-lieu of dependent benefit coverage.
