We are seeking an Application/Software Development Supervisor within the Information Technology Bureau (ITB) to lead within a talented team. This supervisor will oversee a team of computer system analysts responsible for development, integration, and maintenance of internal software applications, system planning, provisioning, and continuous operations. The Supervisor supports triaging of customer support requests that originate from a variety of sources for the applications ITB supports.

This position requires a combination of management, leadership, analytical, technical, and soft skills, gained through diverse work experience. The successful candidate must possess knowledge and understanding of the concepts, theories, and developmental aspects of computer science, operating systems, relational databases, and software.

This position requires excellent technical and non-technical written and oral communication skills with the ability to organize, motivate, and influence professional technical staff. The successful candidate will have the ability to gather clear business requirements, communicate and confirm understanding, and provide guided solutions for both the agency and ITB staff. And most importantly, this position requires servant leadership bringing positive energy to the team, a desire to help staff grow, and commitment to the value of collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

• Five years of progressively responsible experience in project management, computer programming, systems analysis, data reporting, end-user training and support, and new product evaluation and implementation.

• Demonstrated experience in leading people is required, although this may be from roles other than formal supervisory experience.
