Position Description:

We are looking for an IT Strategist to join our Sacramento-based team. The primary responsibilities of this position will be:

Recommend and implement IT solutions to support business operations for external clients. Assess client requirements and seek opportunities to apply technologies to business processes. Advise on the functionality, costs, benefits, and implementation requirements of technology solutions. Apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts to job assignments and contribute to the development of new ideas and principles. Solve uniquely complex problems while working under consultative direction. Speak for the organization to internal and external clients regularly and work on long-range programs and objectives. Provide advice to the organization in expertise and play a role in overall functional strategic planning.

Supports top management in IT strategy formulation, IT strategic plans execution, strategic process improvements, and communication of IT strategies to all stakeholders. Analyze business performance, industry trends, existing or new regulatory requirements and their impact on IT operations; make recommendations on alternative courses of action, including risk assessment, capital investment, and acquisitions needed to align IT strategy with agency strategic plan.

This position is in the transportation industry.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years' experience enabling business through IT implementation, with growing responsibility to enterprise IT Strategy.

  • 2+ projects with hands-on development of an IT Strategy to establish a roadmap to achieve a target Technology or Enterprise Architecture state.

  • Strong IT Strategy definition capability; able to express the methodology used to publish an enterprise roadmap to achieve incremental change and benefit.

  • Strong best practice knowledge of at least two of the following domains: data, infrastructure, access channels, security, applications, and integration.

  • Ability to articulate and defend recommendations made.

  • Able to understand and practice sound management techniques to get strategy team work done within defined schedules and cost with appropriate quality of scope delivered.

  • Experience working well with C-level personnel.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years working within any of the following industry segments to deliver solutions: Healthcare, Government, Energy, Finance, Utilities, Transportation.

  • Experience training others in IT Strategy definition, development, implementation, and value realization competencies.

  • Customer references for implementation of solutions that met or exceeded business value for solutions delivered.

  • Willing and able to train clients to be self-sufficient in replacing the consulting capability with internal resources.

  • Advanced knowledge of strategic planning concepts and frameworks, business issues and concepts, research methodology, general management and financial analysis.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

  • BS in IT or Engineering-related degree OR equivalent experience

  • Certifications in any related business or technical competencies desired.

Through partnership-based relationships, our Talent Acquisition Strategists (TASs) will work as the strategic advisors and conduits between the business, our HR Client Services group, and the recruitment team to ensure the delivery of world-class talent in a "just in time" manner. Your Key Responsibilities * Reporting to the Director, Global Talent Acquisition, the TAS will establish, build, and grow client relationships with our Business/Practice Leaders, HR Client Services Advisors, and other key stakeholders, while concurrently serving as a direct link into the Recruitment Operations team. * Lead the development and implementation of the strategic Talent Acquisition plans within their global BOU, engaging in conversations related to business unit growth, goals and objectives, hiring needs and internal resource availability. * Ensure relevance of talent planning at both a global and regional level, accounting for submitted project proposals, available internal talent, external market data and competitive intelligence. * Provide insight, market intelligence and counsel regarding industry activities, organizational and human capital developments, and drivers. * Drive outreach activities with 3 rd party associations, career fairs, 3 rd party opportunities, liaise with D&I, Sourcing & Research and Campus teams to deepen community connectivity in alignment with our organizational goals, by region. * Support Strategic Hiring initiatives * Facilitate conversations regarding all Talent Acquisition strategic inputs i.e. strategic pipelines, channel and candidate engagement, strategic workforce planning, total rewards, and strategic partnerships etc. * Work in collaboration with the Talent Brand Manager, Senior Manager, Recruitment Operations & Manager, Sourcing & Research to support recruitment and/or sourcing activity, categorize/prioritize roles based upon appropriate segmentation and ensure buy-in from the Talent Management Team (Hiring Manager & HRCS Consultant). * Collaborate with the Talent Brand Manager, Senior Manager, Recruitment Operations & Manager, Sourcing & Research to develop research plans, target profiles/companies, candidate pipelines, qualifications and competency vetting processes. * Maintain personal accountability for client satisfaction and support a superior candidate experience. * Act as the key point of escalation for all Talent Acquisition needs flowing to and from the Talent Management Team, exercising independent judgment and in-depth evaluation of variable factors to resolve complex situations and build replicable solutions - disseminating solutions across the entire Talent Acquisition organization. * Support the Recruitment process in partnership with Recruitment Operations Manager and through discussions with the Business/Practice Leaders, HR Client Service Advisors, delivering to mutually agreed upon Service Level Partnerships (SLPs). * Proactively deliver customized, weekly reporting metrics to Business/Practice Leaders, HR Client Service Advisors with support from the T.A.
