Perspecta has an immediate need for a IT Specialist Mid, Secret Clearance Tier IIIin Pensacola, FL.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Under general direction, applies specialized knowledge in a single discipline such as assembly/integration, cross-discipline functions, data engineering, industry expertise, knowledge engineering or legacy evolution.

  • Applies specialization to conceptualize, design, construct, test and implement portions of business and technical information technology solutions through application of appropriate software development life cycle methodology.

  • Interacts with the customer to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context and organizational strategic direction.

  • Defines scope, plans and deliverables for assigned projects.

  • Collects, identifies, defines and organizes detailed user and information technology requirements.

  • Coordinates and collaborates with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified solutions meet customer needs and expectations.

  • Confirms and prioritizes project plans and deliverables with the customer.

  • Participates in business and technical information technology solution implementations, upgrades, enhancement and conversions.

  • Understands and uses appropriate tools to analyze, identify and resolve business and or technical problems.

  • Applies metrics to monitor performance and measure key project criteria. Prepares system documentation.

  • Establishes and maintains security, integrity and business continuity controls and documents.

  • Participates in special studies.

  • Stays current on emerging tools, techniques and technologies.

  • Assists information engineers on application of specialized knowledge to coding, testing, implementation and documentation projects.


Education and Experience Required:

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows OS, Active Directory, Service Manager, Remedy, Remote Desktop, and Hardware/Software troubleshooting.

  • SECRET clearance (SSBI preferred)

  • Must be a United States citizen

  • Basic network troubleshooting (TCP IP)

  • DoD 8570

  • For Technicians and Tech Leads Add: A+ Certification on hand on first day. (Could accept Network +, Security +, or CISSP)

  • For All Others Add: Security + on hand on first day.

  • NMCI experience or knowledge preferred

  • Excellent customer service / customer interaction skills

  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills for trouble-shooting and trouble ticket handling

As a full service company, SEARCH offers a multidisciplinary integration of our five divisions: Archaeology, Maritime Archaeology, Architectural History, History and Archives, and Museum Services.</p><p> SEARCH has an immediate opening for a full time <strong>Maritime Archaeologist / Marine Remote Sensing Specialist</strong> to join our Maritime division in Pensacola, FL, to support projects throughout the Southeast and worldwide. This position will be responsible for participating in marine remote-sensing surveys (including side-scan sonar, magnetometer, and CHIRP sub-bottom profiler) and archaeological diving missions, analyzing and interpreting remote-sensing data, maintaining and repairing equipment, producing reports, and operating a variety of survey vessels. The ideal candidate will also possess project management experience, be detail-oriented and organized, work well with others over long days on small vessels, and have the ability to work efficiently on simultaneous projects while meeting all deadlines. Candidates with GIS experience and RPA certification (or eligibility for RPA) are highly desirable. <br></p><p>Our Maritime Archaeologist role comes with physical demands and requirements. Candidates need to maintain strong outdoors and underwater skill sets, capacity to occasionally move or lift up to 60 pounds, swim long distances against current while burdened, and the ability to work in physically demanding environments. This position must also be comfortable and competent in extreme underwater diving environments that include zero visibility and heavy current. Must be willing to travel out of town at a moment’s notice for extended periods of time.</p> The chosen candidate will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and a criminal background check, including DMV. Candidate will be able to travel internationally without restrictions and hold a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
