Summary:
The IT Specialist supports the Treasury Bureau (GOP) contract located in Washington, DC. The IT Specialist will work with the Program Manager and predefined Government personnel to assist customers to resolve issues. The IT Specialist deploys, and supports contractor furnished equipment and support systems, including but not limited to client computing devices, printers, MFDs and servers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Maintain print server environments.

  • Provide timely and courteous service with minimal support from other personnel.

  • Provide timely and courteous customer service to facilitate customer satisfaction.

  • Observe all service call procedures including preliminary notification to the customer of call receipt with an Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) whenever possible.

  • Keep service management informed of potential customer issues if unable to resolve.

  • Participate as a full member of a service workgroup and contribute to the group's productivity.

  • Demonstrate the required product proficiency by successfully completing the product training.

  • Accurately report all activities and time using the prescribed methodology to ensure accurate customer records and internal records

  • Manage assigned parts, tools and any other assets provided

  • Plan, organize and schedule workflows

  • Install and configure contractor furnished equipment

  • Coordinate network and data security, including directory, group policy, firewalls, antivirus, etc.

  • Communicate with customers the status of their current service call and address any other service concerns they may have with the product

  • Create, analyze, report, convert or transfer data, using specialized application program software and provide for the installation and configuration.

  • Meet and/or exceed all required standards, such as customer notifications (ETA), response time, product repair hours, parts cost, first time fix, and call-backs.

  • Use the PC/wireless devices for data entry, troubleshooting, and web access.

  • Provide training to new employees and other training sessions as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Associates Degree in IT related field, preferred

  • 2 years' experience managing print servers

  • Experience with Nuance, Cleo-stream and CenterWeb applications is a plus.

  • A deskside certification,

  • CHAMP certification, MCSA or MCSE for Server 2012 (or above and vendor specific products).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to demonstrate IE Navigation, File saves and moves, Internet connectivity

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems Windows and Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel).

  • Ability to successfully pass a drug-screening, DMV and background check.

  • Ability to provide reliable transportation to service calls.
