We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Applies specialized knowledge in a single discipline such as assembly/integration, cross-discipline functions, data engineering, industry expertise, knowledge engineering or legacy evolution.

  • Applies specialization to conceptualize, design, construct, test and implement portions of business and technical information technology solutions through application of appropriate software development life cycle methodology.

  • Interacts with the customer to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context and organizational strategic direction. Defines scope, plans and deliverables for assigned projects.

  • Collects, identifies, defines and organizes detailed user and information technology requirements.

  • Coordinates and collaborates with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified solutions meet customer needs and expectations.

  • Confirms and prioritizes project plans and deliverables with the customer.

  • Participates in business and technical information technology solution implementations, upgrades, enhancement and conversions.

  • Understands and uses appropriate tools to analyze, identify and resolve business and or technical problems.

  • Applies metrics to monitor performance and measure key project criteria.

  • Prepares system documentation.

  • Establishes and maintains security, integrity and business continuity controls and documents. Participates in special studies.

  • Stays current on emerging tools, techniques and technologies.

  • Assists information engineers on application of specialized knowledge to coding, testing, implementation and documentation projects.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Four to nine (4-9) years of related experience in information systems.

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows OS, versions 7, 8, 10, HP Service Manager, Remedy, or similar Service/Help Desk ticket management software, and basic network troubleshooting.

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows OS, Active Directory, Service Manager, Remedy, Remote Desktop, and Hardware/Software troubleshooting.

  • Basic network troubleshooting (TCP/IP)

  • Excellent customer service / customer interaction skills

  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills for trouble-shooting and trouble ticket handling.

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen

  • Valid DoD 8570: A+ Certification (could accept Network +, Security +, or CISSP). If expiration date of Certification is less than 60 days from hire date, must provide a CompTIA report showing candidate has at least 75% of required CE Units needed to renew cert on file with CompTIA. Please attach your 8570 certification and CompTIA CE report showing CE Units if cert is expiring within 60 days when applying.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • NMCI experience or knowledge preferred

Education: High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)

NTT DATA Services Federal Government, Inc., NDFG, is seeking a motivated Self-starter Entry Level Cyber Security Specialist for a key program in Newport, RI. NDFG provides CS services in support of projects which include A&A, Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) Environment Maintenance, Systems Security Engineering, Posture Transition Support, In-Service Engineer Agent (ISEA) Support, and Meeting Support. These services are for the development, evaluation, modernization, and sustainment of the U.S. Navy tactical and tactical support systems. Project customers include a wide variety of technical agents within the Navy. Work conducted is in support of Submarine Combat Systems and Non-Propulsion Electronic Systems as well as Undersea Ranges and Facilities. Roles and responsibilities may include: * Integrate information systems security for short and long term test events that require positive accreditation decision. * Perform system design reviews and provide recommendations for compliance with DoD, and Navy CS standards and requirements. * Review and provide technical comments and findings against system testing requirements and conduct cybersecurity System Level Tests. * Provide technical inputs for cybersecurity related documentation including Cybersecurity Strategy, Clinger-Cohen Act, Anti-Tamper Policy, and Program Protection Plan. * Provide technical inputs for investigations and analyses of cyber security, program protection, anti-tamper, anti-jam considerations for presently fielded and new developments and/or modifications. * Report system vulnerability compliance and provide technical recommendations on mitigation statements. Additionally, this Entry Level Cyber Security Specialist will perform duties to include network and workstation updates. The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team and will assist the supervisor and the customer with tasks as assigned, and is expected to show initiative. Must have a SECRET Security clearance or have the ability to obtain one.
