The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
Provide WEB technical support and assistance to user departments in the procurement, development, utilization, and maintenance of Web applications, software, systems, and equipment.
Perform Web system administration functions that involve planning and coordinate the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Web hardware and software systems.
Perform information security functions to included: Implementing security procedures and tools, Conducting Web System security plans, Developing web systems, and processing, developing and implementing Shipyard level instructions that set policy relating to Web systems.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

For this position, IT Specialist (SYSADMIN), GS-2210-12, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:(1) I have experience developing Web, site adminstration and deployment techniques for windows based and Unix based systems. (2) Experience interpreting data interfaces (process flows) and timing techniques (Scheduling and controlling parameters) used between local and corporate shipyards i.e. (SUPER DESK, AIM, and PMC). (3) Experience in both programming and system analysis to manage Web base applications and system with a proficiency in HTML and scripting language. (4) Experience developing and interpeting policies, procedures and startegies governing planning and delivery of (Shipyard) web services.
