IT Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.

• Ensure the availability, performance, and security of the network through proactive monitoring and maintenance.

System Administration:

• Manage and support server infrastructure, including operating system installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

• Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure data integrity and system reliability.

User Support:

• Provide technical support to end-users for networking-related issues.

• Assist in the setup and configuration of workstations, laptops, and other end-user devices.

Security Management:

• Implement and enforce security measures to protect the network and systems from unauthorized access and potential threats.

• Conduct security audits and respond to security incidents in collaboration with the IT security team.

Documentation:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

• Keep an inventory of hardware, software, and network resources.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience

• We value experience, dedication, and drive over a college degree. We are looking for a Bachelor degree equivalent in hands-on experience.

• Proven experience as an IT Specialist with a focus on networking.

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and security practices.

• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

• Proficiency in the administration of Windows and/or Linux server environments.

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or similar are a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
