As IT Specialist Data & Compliance SAP GLM and EHS you will:
Primarily support the ongoing operations of the SAP EHS (Environment Health and Safety) and SAP GLM (Global Label Management) systems in addition to other related applications/processes involving product safety and regulatory affairs functions. This position provides support for system updates (including regression testing), projects, service requests and other ongoing maintenance/support activities. This position ensures incidents are handled in a timely manner and effectively collaborates with the global IT Data Compliance (DC) responsible contacts and key NAFTA contacts / stakeholders within the NAFTA product safety and regulatory affairs organization.
Within the NAFTA region, the position holder contributes to the projects and activities of the NAFTA IT organization, particularly those involving EHS, GLM and other product and regulatory affairs matters. This position is the IT representative for the NAFTA region on the global DC Chemical Regulatory Data (CRD) processes support team.
Contribute as a team member to major project initiatives, particularly those involving the ongoing operations of SAP EHS and GLM for the Americas region (North and South America).
Evaluate and implement approved change requests in alignment with the global EHS/GLM systems/applications template and in close cooperation with the global IT support team based in Germany.
Configure system/application enhancements within area of SAP support responsibility. Develop, maintain, and support product label template design and maintenance for GLM.
Perform first and second level support for applications, processes, and systems within area of SAP support responsibility.
Develop, maintain and document audit-compliant operational processes within area of responsibility
Adjust and develop training materials. Perform training for applications, processes, and systems within area of responsibility.
In order to accomplish this you will:
Bachelor degree either in chemistry, business or IT field of study; Hands-on experience in SAP EHS / GLM minimum of 3 years experience; strong analysis and troubleshooting skills; strong communication skills (writing and verbal); cultural awareness; solution-oriented and structured way of working; fluent in Business English
Professional experience to include 3+ years experience
Leadership experience is of advantage.
Project management experience is of advantage.
International experience is of advantage.
BA/BS Degree (preference in business or technology discipline) and 3+ years of relevant business / information technology experience.
Understanding of IT development and project management life-cycles.
Solid verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Strong problem resolution skills.
Strong teamwork and customer service orientation.
Knowledge of ERP/Non-ERP applications, systems, and support methodologies, particularly those supporting product safety and regulatory affairs (for example: SAP EHS/GLM, IUCLID).
Knowledge of material master data, particularly in regard to packaging units of measure, label master data.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
Understanding of IT standards and guidelines (e.g. ITIL, SDLC).
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
Proven ability to multitask across multiple projects.
Understanding of database management systems (Oracle, MS SQL).
Understanding of IT service/portfolio management processes.
Familiarity with SAP logistics master data (packing instructions) and processes (deliveries, process orders).
Familiarity with product label template design in SAP GLM.
Work experience with an international chemical manufacturing company.
German language skills.
