Job Description:

IBM is looking for IT Specialist - Business Analyst, who can transform sales data into our streaming CEDP environment supporting WW Sales management. Potential candidate should posses following skills.

  • Analytical Skills: Business analysts take a lot of information and translate it into a useable blueprint.

  • Communication Skills: The BAs are part of a team, working with database administrators, data analysts and management and need to be effective communicators.

  • Attention to Detail: Databases and systems are complex, and a minute error can cause huge problems.

  • Logical Thinking: BAs take code and data and turn it into logical patterns, so that it can be analyzed.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: BAs look at an issue that needs to be solved and come up with solutions quickly.

Contextual relationships between solution components within and outside the solution domain.

The ability to see solution in the context of the broader enterprise, domain and solution environments.

  • Experience with solution design templates such as Opal.

  • Solution design reuse, RTC, GitHub, Urban Code Deploy (UDC)

  • Determines data structure requirements by analyzing client requirements, operations, applications, and programming; reviewing objectives with clients; evaluating current systems;

  • Develops data solutions by designing proposed system; defining physical data structures and functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications.

  • Installs data solutions by developing flowcharts; applying optimum access techniques; coordinating installation actions; documents actions.

  • Maintains system performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems; calculating optimum values for parameters; evaluating, integrating, and installing new releases; coordinating maintenance activities; answering user questions.

  • Prepares users by conducting training.

  • Provides database support by coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving problems.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

  • Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
