currently we have a "IT Specialist / Architect " position at one of our client locations

Job Description:
This position is a long-term subject matter expert that serves as our in-house IT Specialist and has two major functions within the company. First, he or she must coordinate between the company, external vendors, and contractors about IT-related infrastructure and development; and second, will consult with our IT department on any issues that arise and provide potential fixes or efficiency controls.

Years of experience:
7+ years experience

Prior experience with developing technical design specifications according to development standards.



  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field required


  • Masters Degree

Comprehensive IT analytical skills, strong problem analytical skills

Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs

Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer confidence in ability to deliver to business needs.

Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create and advise on solutions, incidents and problems

Comprehensive knowledge of various software development methodologies (including Waterfall, RUP, agile techniques)

Technical leadership capabilities, design and development oversight

Solid written, oral communications and presentation skills

Role responsibilities:

Define and implement application architecture for diverse business processes, projects, and function

Develop software solutions and strategy to meet the architectural goals and needs of a client

Liaise with programmers and software development team to design and implement an architectural system

Assign work duties to an organizations technical and programming staff in order to achieve a common target

Design the interface between multiple applications, databases, and middleware systems

Provide technical support and training of an organizations IT personnel to ensure high level of business performance

Carry out assessments to identify operational limitations and gaps in functional coverage

Upgrade architectural systems and software life cycle to ensure improved processes

Offer recommendations to clients on technical resources and action plans necessary for an efficient architectural system

Monitor the performance of architectural systems to ensure fluid interaction between components

Conduct tests to ensure an application conforms to fundamental application standards and meets the requirements of the end user

Ensure proper documentation of software design and developing processes in order to produce appropriate procedures for application use

Design applications according to specific architectural design to improve overall system performance

Ability to triage complex incidents and problem tickets

Develop and maintain an operations manual at all times

Ensure appropriate source code management practices in line with Continuous

Integration (CI) methodologies.

Assist AMS team lead in future capacity planning and forecasting

Participate in vendor transition meetings and governance

Assist AMS Team Lead (TL) in Problem Resolution to ensure operational stability of consumer facing websites

Ensure proper monitoring are setup and in place by working with tools and technology teams (eg: Vantage, Orian, Dynatrace tools) for operational stability and faster resolution of issues.

Provide technical support and assistance in transitioning partner technologies and products into processes and tools.

Manage the intake, prioritization, assignment and fulfillment of development work across a number of projects and bridge functional/technical gaps with Product Managers and business stakeholders.
