Summary

You will serve as a IT Specialist (NETWORK/INFOSEC) in the Marine Corps Cyberspace Operations Group (MCCOG) of U S MARINE FORCES CYBERSPACE COMMAND

Responsibilities

You will plan, design, develop, manage and enhance highly efficient network boundary defense systems that respond to user requirements and efficiently apply available resources for reduced cost.
You will develop standardized designs and variations for firewall systems used across the enterprise.
You will analyze and recommend solutions to specific firewall reporting and services outage problems.
You will ensure the integration of all systems components; e.g., develop procedures for appliances, software, and hardware.
You will identify and analyze network traffic associated with malicious activities using network monitoring tools.

Qualifications

Your resume must one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:

  • Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: coordinating with other IT experts on a variety of situations and issues that involve planning, applying or adapting new theories, concepts, principles, standards, methods or practices. 4. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a Firewall Engineer identifying and tracking Cybersecurity requirements throughout the systems development cycle AND perform risk management framework assessment and authorization for applications, systems, boundaries, and enclaves.
