The role: The IT Solution Engineer - Health Care Applications role is a customer facing role. This individual will work directly with the Home Office Business Units and Field users reporting into the IT Head / Business Partner for Commercial Excellence and Digital. He / she will work directly with the end user community and IT to scope demand, align on specific use cases and directly manage initiatives enabling the US business needs, with an immediate focus on new Product launches, Field Force expansion and new Veeva functionality such as Open Data and Network.

Interact with Business and IT colleagues to define and enhance the digital eco-system with a focus on data consumption and integration. Collaborate with Global colleagues to ensure US business demand, applications and data needs are properly represented in a global application where applicable. Engage with external communities (industry and technology based) and vendors to benchmark the US Commercial platforms and data management against our peers and provide recommendations to be adopted within future release cycles.

Who you are: You must have customer service orientation, as well as superior analytical abilities. Exhibit an ability to effectively work with both technical and non-technical resources and communicate complex topics clearly and concisely. You have an understanding of architecture and an ability to design scalable performance-driven solutions. You have excellent communication and presentation skills. You are highly organized and a collaborative team player. You have had experience in launching new products to market within bio tech / pharmaceutical sector. You have lead cross functional initiatives and led requirement gathering workshops.

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred

  • Fluent in English (both written and oral)

  • 5+ years of experience with Salesforce.com (SFDC) and Veeva configuration and administration

  • 5+ years of experience with gathering requirements and configuring on IaaS and SaaS based solutions (Amazon Web Services, SFDC and Veeva preferred)

  • 5+ years of experience with Analytical platforms (Tableau preferred)

  • 5+ years of experience with Data Lakes & Data Warehousing

  • 5+ years of experience managing IT projects, leading business workshops, mapping business processes and data flows

  • 5+ years working with bio-tech/pharmaceutical data

  • Strong SQL skills along with solid data modeling understanding

  • Strong Project management and business analysis skills

  • Exposure to Data Integration platforms (Informatica and AWS preferred)

  • Exposure to other Commercial related applications and data (i.e. Patient Support Programs, ERP, Aggregate Spend, Concur, Model N)

  • Exposure to industry collaboration and project tools (i.e. JIRA and Office 365)

  • Position requires domestic travel up to 15% of time
