IT Software Engineer, Privileged Access Management (Hybrid)

This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.

Our Team

As the IT Software Engineer, Privileged Access Management joining our team you will be responsible for working within the Information Security and Compliance group to administer and configure our CyberArk Privileged Access Management platform. Duties will include but are not limited to developing and directing software system validation and testing methods, as well as directing our software programming initiatives. IT Software Engineer will also be working closely with clients and cross-functional departments to communicate project statuses and proposals as well as within the IT organization to establish and manage application, server, and database accounts within CyberArk.

Responsibilities include defining system functionality and writing code in various languages, like Java, Ruby on Rails or .NET programming languages (e.g. C++ or JScript.NET.).

Ultimately, the role of the Software Engineer is to build high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical design.

  • Responsible for making moderate improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of work area.

  • May have responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.)

  • Works to influence parties within and outside of work area at an operational level regarding policies, practices, and procedures.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Familiar and effectively uses cloud services or industry standard frameworks

  • Easily picks up new tools and incorporates them effectively into applications

  • Comfortable working within Agile framework

  • Participates in hiring process, interviews

  • Follows ES established engineering processes and standards effectively within their scope of work and domain

  • Takes ownership and can work autonomously on development tasks, delivering code on time and with a quality mindset.

  • Able to refactor and abstract common problems into reusable components or services

  • Detects meaningful problems in requirements

  • CyberArk experience preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent IT experience is required

  • Advanced Degree in a related field preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience

  • Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Practical to substantial knowledge of ES projects, programs, or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

  • Experience working with CyberArk or another Privileged Access Management tool at a larger company, will be given highest priority.

  • Experience working with Active Directory, LINUX/UNIX is a plus.

  • Experience working with Sailpoint IIQ, is a plus.

  • Experience working on enterprise implementation of IT security products is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.

  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program.  The annual salary range for this position is $93,390 to $103,770, plus incentive.  Salary is commensurate with your experience.  Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.
