Software Engineer Location: This is a hybrid role and the resource will be required to work onsite two days per week in either the Holmdel, NJ, New York, NY, Bethlehem, PA, or Stamford, CT office. At this time, we will only accept local candidates who live within commuting distance to one of these offices.

We will not accept remote candidates. This is a contract to hire role. A Glider technical assessment is required for this request.

We are looking for candidates who are heavy on the developer side and not as much on the administrator side. Experienced Software Engineer with development and system administration skills responsible for the delivery and support of technology solutions to our Corporate Business area. As a part of our Enterprise Content Management (ECM) team, this role will be a key individual contributor that will balance application development and configuration with support of our application suite to meet complex business needs.

The Client ECM team is comprised of highly motivated technical experts delivering on various challenging and highly visibility projects. You will: " Engage with all lines of business for business project solution requirement gathering, analysis, solution design, and deliverable execution " Develop new and enhance existing software applications " Provide application support " Generate technical documentation sets for development, implementation, and support " Perform and support all stages of application testing " Support Amazon Web Services Cloud application design and deployment " Support IT Security and IT Risk/Compliance vulnerability remediations " Collaborate with other IT teams to solve problems and achieve collective goals " Contribute to the talent growth of team and self via Knowledge Transfers, Trainings/Certifications, Peer Reviews, and Guidance of junior team members " Utilize best practices in software development, engineering, and administration " Be cognizant of technology trends and roadmaps within our space " Demonstrate an understanding of our company s values and maintain a positive, professional attitude as a team member in a diverse environment You have: " 6 years of software engineering experience including development, implementation, admin/support, and life cycle governance " Good to have knowledge of and experience with IBM ECM Suite - FileNet Content Manager/Content Navigator " Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline " 6 years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies " Experience with REST and SOAP services using Spring boot framework " Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Dojo/Dijit/widget " Experience working with RDBMS such as SQL Server and database concept knowledge " Experience with model-view-controller (MVC) architecture " Excellent communication skills with experience working directly with business partners " Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an experienced history in application support " Interest in upskilling and learning new technologies " Functional knowledge of AWS Cloud Services " Experience with modern web application development, including build tools, testing and CI/CD Preferred Qualifications: " Experience in Enterprise Content Management Tools including IBM FileNet, IBM Content Navigator, IBM Content Collector " Experience with SaaS software implementations " Knowledge of XML, JSON, Shell scripting, REST-based API integrations " Experience with front-end technologies/frameworks including React, HTML, and CSS. " Infrastructure and Technical Architecture knowledge " Functional knowledge of AWS Cloud Services " Experience with modern web application development, including build tools, testing and CI/CD " Experience with code source control QUALIFICATIONS: " Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field " 8-10 years of full stack professional software development experience. 5 years in a lead role. " 7 years of experience with Microsoft .net technologies, including dotnet core. " 5 years of experience with front-end technologies/framework including React JS, Node JS, HTML, and CSS. " Experience with service-oriented and cloud native software architectures " Experience with modern web application development, including build tools, testing and CI/CD " Experience with secure programming practices, software delivery and cloud security principles " Experience with cloud technology including AWS, Docker, SNS/SQS " Experience with source control and development workflows: Bitbucket, Git " Familiarity with API architectures including microservice strategy " Proven ability to take leadership role in projects that span multiple teams, ability to deliver on time working in a fast-paced agile environment " Proven track record of developing and supporting large scale business critical systems " Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; solid understanding of coding aesthetics, able to review code, and provide suggestions " Must be comfortable in a fast pace, changing environment where the majority of your teammates are remote and/or in different timezones. " Has strong presentation and collaboration skills and can clearly articulate all aspects of the job requirements, including the creation of formal documentation " Jump in and hit the ground running with a positive attitude.
