IT Services Team Lead

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working together with a self-motivated team to organize daily tasks and facilitate meeting customer commitments, on a range of technology projects.
  • Organizing the capture and documentation of procedures for optimization.
  • Providing quality checks for services provided to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve, and working with the team to implement and adopt improvements.
  • Facilitating the adoption of best practices, tools, and methods that support customer satisfaction and promote working together as a team.


  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.
  • 3+ years experience as a team lead supporting technologies (demonstrated work experience performing above noted functions, to include new hire training).
  • Technical Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 5+ years prior end user support experience (in addition to 3 years directly related to IT Team Lead) and is well versed at technical escalation from support staff.
  • Intimate knowledge of desktop computer imaging and deployment methods, support and hardware repair for Windows and Apple computers and laptops, activation and support for mobile devices, network printer support, and warranty coordination for HP and other makes of printers and multi-function devices.
  • Basic familiarity with PowerShell scripting, Windows Active Directory, and IT Security as to how it can be applied to solve customer problems and provide end-user support.

Duties and responsibilities * Manage and support the daily operations and maintenance of the network infrastructure including troubleshooting of the data, voice, wired and wireless network. * Perform lifecycle replacement, software upgrades and maintenance during schedule outages * Work with vendors to identify technologies that will benefit the organization * Assess, recommend, plan, and implement complex network and wireless solutions * Design, integrate, and install network devices to improve the overall network infrastructure. * Creating reliable, fault tolerant, scalable network architectures, performance tuning, monitoring systems, statistics/metrics collection, and disaster recovery * Manage project schedules, timelines and personnel to achieve milestones and deadlines * Create design documents, network diagrams and maintain IP management scheme * Perform vulnerability scans and mitigate network vulnerabilities through configuration or upgrades * Work closely with and communicate regularly with Director of Infrastructure to update and advise on state of the network Qualifications * BS and 9 years related experience * Knowledge and experience working with routing protocols (OSPF,BGP), Cisco CUCM, wireless (Controller, WAP), Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco ISE * Familiar with PRTG, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Visio, NESSUS Security Center Scans, Riverbed * Experience designing and configuring complex networks including working with multiple vendors such as Cisco * Experience evaluating the performance of communications networks. * Experience with commercial data center collocation offerings. * Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are required for interaction with customers, project leaders, team members, and other government stakeholders. * Project Management experience a plus * Strong written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills. * Cisco Certification, CCNP Actionet, Inc.
