Job Summary

Creates, modifies and maintains functional and non-functional requirements for system enhancements, upgrades and new functionality (Non-functional requirements are system requirements related to the hardware/software environment in which the application will operate, but are not part of the actual business function(s) performed by the application). Analyzes systems to determine root cause of problems and creates system work flow. Partners with and provides support to project stakeholders throughout the SDLC in understanding and clarifying the requirements under examination.

Essential Functions / Principal Responsibilities

  • Aligns highly complex solutions with business and IT strategies.

  • Ensures clarity and compliance with the organization's architectural standards and documents functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Ensures clarity and inclusion of appropriate details, and strategy, in the same.

  • Maintains documentation for new and existing applications.

  • Works closely with customers, business analysts, developers and other team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.

  • Provides subject matter expertise to project stakeholders (customers and IT) and reviews documentation of other analysts for completeness.

  • Involved in the full systems life cycle.

  • Responsible for designing, documenting, implementing, maintaining and supporting highly complex or mission critical application software that is delivered on time and within budget.

  • May lead small teams to accomplish assigned projects.

  • Root Cause/solution recommendation - Analyzes defects with an eye towards finding root cause, recommending both technical and non-technical solutions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required:

  • Ability to create non-functional requirements and translate business requirements into non-functional requirements.

  • Solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies.

  • Ability to trace given transactions through a complex system and document how systems and overlapping processes interact.

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of industry practices and CSAA IG's policies and the ability to develop a clear understanding of the company's key functional processes and resources.

Education, Work Experience, Licenses & Certifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in related area (Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years System documentation experience and/or technical writing.

VIEW JOBS 10/16/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-14T00:00 Description Reports to: Service Desk Supervisor Functions Supervised: Oversee the daily duties and responsibilities of a team of Service Desk Analysts I, II and III. Primary Functions: Responsible for oversight of technical support, first-line problem/outage analysis, triage, and resolution in a 24 x7 Operations Center. Provide technical direction and guidance to your team of Service Desk Analysts I, II and III. Perform complex problem determination and provide solutions or recommendations to technical analysts and supervisory personnel. Duties and Responsibilities: * Provide coordination and support within your team for the management of incoming trouble tickets and their subsequent follow up and closure. * Monitor flow of incoming incidents and calls for triage and dispatch. * Evaluate and maintain documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems. * Assist in developing and maintaining updates to Service Desk procedures. * Confer with other Service Desk Team Leads and IM Leadership on problem tickets and knowledge sharing. * Provide the supervision and support for direct reports, including evaluations, disciplinary actions, timecard and leave approvals * Assist other leads by providing coverage in the event of absences as well as supporting analysts from other teams during on-call rotation. * Meet regularly with each direct report for coaching, teaching and mentoring. * Participate in troubleshooting more complex problems requiring additional technical resources. * Act as a further escalation point for unresolved or escalated incidents. * Maintain quality service by following departmental and credit union policies and procedures. * Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field. Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not applicable Experience/Skills: Eight years demonstrable experience managing enterprise systems or equivalent in technical training. MCSE, Unix, or other manager-approved IT certification, required. Additional technical certifications a plus. Must have working knowledge of client/server networking, multi-protocols, scripting languages, and databases. Must have demonstrated leadership qualities with supervisory experience preferred. Demonstrated effectiveness in resolving complex operational problems. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have demonstrated a focus on customer service excellence. Good team player, ability to analyze and adjust to problems and changes that occur. Must be a self-starter and capable of maintaining composure in pressure situations.
