IT Senior Program Manager, PMO Erlanger, KY

This is an exempt level position.

Position Summary:

The IT Program Manager will contribute to the development and maturity of the program management capability within the IT PMO. You will identify, prioritize, track and execute strategic initiatives. This includes clarifying business objectives, building program structure, establishing program/project direction, providing counsel to senior management, directing cross-functional teams, and inspiring change. In addition, this role is required to direct and lead the end-to-end program definition and governance, as well as the technology implementation. This role will oversee the successful execution of one or many simultaneous strategic initiatives.

This leader will work closely with members of the IT leadership, as well as key ADM business leaders to support program activities, including efforts around 1ADM, ADM's digital business technology platform.

This role will report to the Director, IT PMO.

Job Responsibilities:

At a high-level, some of the key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Lead implementation of strategic initiatives to achieve corporate vision

  • Provide mentoring and support to senior executives and sponsors regarding their role in ensuring project success

  • Builds common expectations about the role of the IT PMO

  • Work with executive sponsor and key partners to define projects, including scope, goals and objectives, teams, deliverables, achievements and activities, resource plan, budget, timing and risks

  • Ensure projects deliver business outcomes within budget and time parameters

  • Lead and drive overall program level reporting, communication, issue management, and cross-workstream risk identification and resolution

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related fields

  • PMP certification or Six Sigma experience preferred

  • 10+ years of diverse and/or large enterprise work experience in project management

  • 5+ years of diverse and/or large enterprise work experience in program management

  • Comfortable with presenting to and facilitating discussion with senior business leaders

  • Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, negotiation and influencing skills

  • Strong leadership skills and able to work within a matrixed organization

  • Able to handle multiple projects and adapt to rapidly changing priorities in the work environment

  • Demonstrated experience in initiating, managing and implementing complex business transformation projects /programs

  • Strong track record working with multiple partner vendors in delivery

  • Change management skills and experience

The position will be responsible for design and delivery of family and children's programming, as well as providing instructional services in our STREAM Center. Work hours are variable with evening and weekend hours required. Responsibilities: * Plans and implements quality programming for library patrons. Focus will be divided between serving our juvenile patrons and their families in the library and community, as well as serving patrons in the STREAM Center. * Plans, promotes and implements library outreach programs with schools and other agencies commensurate with community needs and library goals and objectives. Includes providing STREAM outreach programming. * Coordinate with other departments and branches for system-wide programs. * Prepares comprehensive written report on monthly activities and compiles appropriate statistics on program attendance. * Works with the PR department to promote programs which can include appearing on local network television, posting on social media and creating flyers. * Provides instructional assistance in the STREAM Center, delivering one-on-one trainings and assisting patrons with the use of STREAM Center equipment. Will be cross trained at all service points but will be primarily be assigned to work in the STREAM Center, approximately 20 hours per week. * Stays current on library programming trends for all ages by attending workshops, conferences, webinars...etc. * Enforce the Code of Conduct, Internet Use, Safe Child, and similar policies in a proactive and impartial manner. May act as a staff-in-charge. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree preferred. Related work experience is a plus. * Excellent communications/public relations skills along with strong service orientation. * Interpersonal skills to effectively deal with the public and coworkers in a positive, professional manner. * Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. * Ability to work individually or within a group environment with a diverse population, including individuals, agencies, and businesses. * Must have sense of humor * Evenings, weekends, and "out of library" hours required. * Ability to define and solve problems; be able to work alone or within groups; have awareness of community resources and contacts; and be highly self-motivated. * Computer skills including MS Office, Internet, and experience with electronic databases and resources, and ebooks. * Ability to obtain and maintain certification through the Kentucky State Board for the Certification of Librarians. * Valid driver's license and means of transportation to fulfill job responsibilities. * Must be able to lift 30 lbs. and carry 10 ft; must be able to push and/or pull 100 lbs.
