Salary Range For This Position Is $85,000 - $100,000. Salary Range Is Based On Experience And Education Levels.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN IT, Software and Network Operations Center Engineer, II

As a Software and Network Operations Center Engineer II, you'll start your day by promptly addressing critical alerts and checking for overnight issues via emails and messages. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting network issues, responding to user-reported problems, diagnosing connectivity/performance issues, and handling tickets.

You'll also dedicate time to projects, focusing on monitoring, analyzing, and responding to alerts from network and security tools. Additionally, you'll review system design, provide network, cloud, and security recommendations, and ensure optimal network performance. The person in this role will actively display behaviors that support the mission, vision, and values of Castle Biosciences.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted.

• 4+ years of functional enterprise network design, engineering, and operations experience

• 2+ years of functional cloud infrastructure design and engineering

• 2+ years of functional experience securing enterprise networks and information systems according to Industry frameworks, such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27000 Series, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

• Experience across a variety of security products including, but not limited to, firewalls, network, and host-based intrusion detection (IDS) and intrusion prevention systems (IPS), security information event monitoring (SIEM) software, e-mail, and Web security gateways, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and data loss prevention.

• Strong knowledge of networking technologies

• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for HIPAA, PII, etc.

• Experience with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center and the Security tools in Microsoft 365.

• Certification and Other Requirements: Valid state-issued driver's license.

SCHEDULE

• In office M-F with one day WFH after 3 months. On call as needed. Travel <10%.
