The IT Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting both the Information Technology and Information Security Lines of Business in all aspects of Issues Management. We expect understanding of Information Security to help create issues that will remediate risks within the Independent Financial IT environment. This will require attention to detail through all pieces of the Issue life-cycle. From issue creation, issue remediation, and ensuring the sustainability of the solutions implemented.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible of identifying risk and provide appropriate documentation of risks and related issues; determination of severity; development of remediation strategies to mitigate risk within tolerance; and plans for evidence to support closure.
Develop and deliver issues management and reporting on a regular basis to internal teams and ELT as needed.
Provides quality assurance, guidance, and consultation for remediation efforts of self-identified, audit-identified, and risk-identified issues,
Develop strategy and direction to support process maturity.
Support Enterprise Information Security Management during Regulatory, Audit and Compliance exams.
Ensure functional and business requirements of internal strategic and systematic initiatives are met.
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Risk Management or Issues Management
Minimum of 2 years of banking or financial institution experience
Minimum of 2 years of working with network systems
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
Intermediate proficiency in the use of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Visio for reports, analysis and presentations
Highly organized and detail-oriented self-starter with a proven ability to multi-task and who can work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills
Ability to be influential and establish positive working relationships
Outstanding organizational and effective time management skills
Ability to obtain, analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources
Superior problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated knowledge of FFIEC, GLBA and Bank Secrecy Act, FDIC, OCC, FRB
Knowledge of COBIT and NIST preferred
