Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

The IT Risk Analyst/PM will support the following key activities:

  • Perform IT and application risk assessments

  • Identify and evaluate the design of risks and controls

  • Prepare compliance reports and status reports, identify issues and escalate through proper governance channels as needed

  • Collaborate with others within IT and the business to ensure risk assessments are performed efficiently and effectively

  • Set priorities in correcting problems holding up completion of risk assessments and tracking them until resolution

  • Responsibility for all IT deliverables for the projects under their purview.

  • Subject Matter Expert in one or more of the following domains: Data Privacy, System & Data Classification, 3rd Party Security, Security Architecture, and Data Protection

  • Ensure all IT requirements are delivered on behalf of projects.

  • These include, but are not limited to; new vendor assessments, application classifications, data and system classifications, application security reviews, IT security control implementation, evidentiary testing documentation, knowledge transfer to control owners, and final risk assessment approval


  • 5+ years of experience in IT Compliance, IT Risk Management, and/or IT Audit

  • BS in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, and/or other applicable Information Technology disciplines

  • Understanding of industry security standards, guidelines and regulatory/compliance requirements related to information security such as ISO 27001, ISO 27018, NIST 800-53, PCI DSS, SOC2, HIPAA, PCI, SOX, GLBA, etc, is required

  • Understanding of GDPR and EU data privacy regulations

  • Able to lead multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines

Desired Characteristics

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Previous experience participating in the execution of complex projects in challenging environments

  • CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CISA, CIPP or similar certifications

  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to sometimes strict and/or tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

VIEW JOBS 10/25/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-23T00:00 Position Objective: The Commodity Market Risk Analyst provides independent risk oversight of the Global Commodity business within Citi's Institutional Client Group (ICG) . The Global Commodity businesses cover a wide number of desks across a range of traded products and commodities across various regions. Key Responsibilities: * Work directly with traders and senior risk managers to ensure that all relevant market risk factors are properly identified and formally captured in official risk systems * Assist in developming and maintaining an appropriate independent market risk limits framework with applicable limits and triggers, and independently monitor business compliance with the Firm's market risk-related policies. Oversee risk exposure measurement and limit monitoring processes through various reconciliations to ensure integrity and appropriate independence of reporting * Monitor the Global Commodity desk's permitted products list, regulatory capital and VaR. * Communicate key market related events related to Commodity markets & exposures to senior mgmt, regulators, and fellow market risk managers * Actively participate in the development of business-level stress testing, including required analytics on the Global Commodities portfolio. * Work with Model Risk Management on helping to validate certain valuation models developed by the Markets and Quantitative Analysis team * Conduct statistical analysis on various time series through either R or Python programs in preparation for upcoming regulatory capital rules * Ongoing completion of short-term BAU tasks/projects which constitute direct integration with trading businesses and markets in general, a fantastic learning opportunity * Well defined mid to long term projects in working with senior mentors that require technical skills and strategic planning, enabling development in analytical capacity and critical thinking Qualifications: * 2-5 years relevant experience * Degree in a quantitative or financial discipline * Knowledge of financial instruments and risk metrics • Proficient quantitative skills including mathematics involved in risk estimation and modelling • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive •Ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization • Work collaboratively with regional and global partners in other functional units; ability to navigate a complex organization • Excellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel/VBA, Word, PowerPoint) and SQL • Experience in performing data analysis Education: * Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
