Management Analyst III - IT Reporting & Documentation Specialist

This position is eligible for full-time telework from within the state of Texas

The IT Reporting & Documentation Specialist performs highly advanced, senior-level work for the IT division. The specialist's work involves helping the division establish, document, track, and improve service delivery and business outcomes and define and measure success.

The specialist's work includes researching, designing, developing, and maintaining a wide range of business, operational, and strategic documentation, such as strategic and operational plans and reports, data analytics reports, performance measures, processes, and more.

The specialist has extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment in performing their work. Essential Job Functions:

Designing, developing, and maintaining business data analytics reports in Microsoft Power BI and other tools to track and improve business outcomes, including identifying data sources and analyzing, transforming, and presenting data in a way that is easy to understand and aligns with best practices for data analysis and visualization. 20%

Writing, editing, and obtaining information for strategic and operational plans and reports, support service agreements, memoranda of understanding, policies, processes, and other documents that support business operations and efficacy. 20%

Obtaining requirements, best practices, industry standards, and other information using varying methods including independent research, interviews, and workgroup sessions and documenting and applying the information to assigned work. 20%

Developing and administering performance measures to track and improve service delivery and business outcomes and define and measure success, applying performance management best practices. 20%

Receiving, assessing, and determining a plan of action for new assignments made to their area and developing and managing schedules to ensure work is completed by established due dates. 10%

Identifying, recommending, and implementing improvements to section work products or tools. 5%

Assessing work products of junior team members to ensure they are correct, easy to use, meet business objectives, and are developed according to applicable policies, standards, processes, and internal procedures and providing technical assistance and training as needed. 5% Knowledge Skills Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of reporting formats, including data analytics, operational, and strategic plans, and reports.

  • Advanced skill in using Microsoft Power BI or an equivalent software to develop and manage data analytics reports.

  • Advanced skill in preparing technical documents and maintaining accurate versions of documents.

Registration or Licensure Requirements:

None Initial Selection Criteria:

Required

  • Experience in data reporting, data analytics, and/or data visualization.

  • Experience developing or coordinating other business or operational documentation, such as strategic and operational plans and business processes.

Preferred:
