Your Job as an IT Purchasing Analyst I:

The IT Purchasing Analyst will working closely with the Infrastructure team and telecom vendors to request quotes for telecom services, submit telecom orders, work with vendors on billing and service issues, and track updates on orders. In addition, they will investigate invoice discrepancies and process invoices for payment via check requests. The Purchasing Analyst will be required to be responsible for IT cost reductions and ensuring that vendors are charging agreed-upon pricing as per the contract.

Your Responsibilities as an IT Purchasing Analyst I:

  • Work closely with IT Engineers to order appropriate telecom services for networking needs for both existing facilities and new builds/acquisitions.

  • Meet regularly with telecom vendors on status of orders, review invoices, standardize pricing, settling disputes, etc.

  • Track monthly and yearly spend with vendors to enable management to track overall spend and missed SLAs as well as spend by vendor, facility, and service.

  • Submit orders for telecom services and track through delivery.

  • Work with vendors to schedule onsite surveys, installs, and activations.

  • Process telecom, hardware/software, contractor, and other IT invoices on a timely basis.

  • Process contracts for telecom services

  • Track yearly telecom savings

  • Maintain telecom services inventory

  • Responsible for coding centralized IT invoices for large IT based accounts.

  • Source price quotations and prepare purchase requisitions/orders.

  • Match purchase requisitions/orders with invoices and forward to accounts for payment processing.

  • Work closely with Purchasing team, Infrastructure team, project managers, and IT management to ensure that the status of orders and invoices are known

Your Skills and Job Requirements as an IT Purchasing Analyst I:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent additional experience

  • 2 -5 years' experience in healthcare, preferably in IT hardware and software purchasing arena.

  • Healthcare experience preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications, particularly Excel

  • Accounting background preferred
