Position Description: Project manager for Latin America (LATAM). Responsibilities include: - Planning and coordination of the LATAM deliverables (i.e. enhancements in backlog) - Liaison with development supplier (AP), IT teams (US/Mexico) and Business partners in Latin-American markets

  • Maintenance and Reporting on projects progress, risks and change management using Clarity

  • Run South America weekly IT/business meetings

The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience: * Lead the design, planning and implementation of LAN and WLAN infrastructure projects for North America facilities (Plants, Offices, Warehouses, Product Engr. sites) * Responsibilities include defining project tasks, develop and manage full scale project plans and changes to achieve project objectives * Plan and schedule project timelines, track project deliverables using appropriate tools * Provide direction and support to project team and coordinate efforts to resolve issues, monitor and report on progress to all stakeholders * Create/submit all project related documentation for both hardware and architectural reviews * Ensure all LAN network infrastructure facets of projects adhere to current company standards * Create all hardware and services bill of materials for projects * Identify and report risks based on budget or timelines throughout duration of each project and recommend remediation plans as needed * Establish and foster third party vendor, local site IT and company site trades relationships at assigned company locations * Plan, coordinate, and submit all project related infrastructure change controls * Interface with customer base on project requirements/timings, providing cost estimates for New Model Programs, Network Refresh projects, and Customer Solution Service requests * IT Liaison and customer single point of contact * Providing technical assistance on LAN and WLAN solutions, equipment, services, and standards for all infrastructure related service requests for assigned sites * Work with and provide guidance to IT Site Management, Global Enterprise Network Integrators (GENI), and Day One Service providers for wireless LAN site surveys, installation, and testing * Actively participate in network collaboration meetings, design reviews, change control forums * Assist (as-needed) Global Network Operations personnel with trouble-shooting and resolving site LAN and WLAN infrastructure issues * Three plus years' experience planning and coordinating large scale LAN and Wireless LAN projects in office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments, managing IT project tasks, schedules, changes, issues and risks * Working knowledge and understanding of Cisco IOS, VSS, ACLs, and routing, switching, wireless platforms (4500, 3850.s, 2602/2702/3802 AP.s, 5508/5520 WLAN Ctrls) * Experience using Cisco IOS command-line interface (CLI) * Technical understanding of IP Subnets and DNS/DHCP services * Strong understanding and application of Cisco wireless LAN (AP and WLC) technologies and planning architectures * Proficient with MS Office, Project, and Visio * Excellent requirements gathering skills and the ability to map those requirements into standard solutions * Strong project management and organizational skills * Highly motivated professional (self-starter and results oriented) * Customer focused and strong team orientation * Ability to multi-task and work as a member of a team or individually * Strong interpersonal skills * Communicate effectively with IT, Business customers, and management on a day-to-day basis * Technical aptitude with ability to learn new networking technologies quickly Experience Preferred: * Working knowledge of Cisco PRIME Network Management tool * Knowledgeable of EIA/TIA structured cabling specifications and deployment best practices within a manufacturing environment * Cisco certifications a plus * Familiarity with automotive supported network technologies, standards, and processes a plus * Will require travel to North America sites Education Required: * B.S.
