What you'll be doing:

ThePosition of IT

  • PMO Project Manageris a project role within the IT PMO Delivery Team. This position is critical to the success ofthe IT PMO Delivery Team, and has a solid career path into senior projectleadership roles within the IT PMO. Thisposition manages the initiation, planning, execution (including managing andcontrolling), and closing of small to large projects within the IT PMO ManagedProject Portfolio, following the defined IT PMO Project DeliveryLifecycle.

  • Facilitates thecapturing and prioritization of project requirements

  • Leads, plans,schedules, tracks, and manages project deliverables, goals, and milestones;adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet changing needs and requirements

o Assessesrisks and creates strategies for risk mitigation and project contingency planning

o Designsand maintains project documentation

o Identifiesand resolves project issues; ensures appropriate communication to projectstakeholders

o Createsand executes project work plans and revises as appropriate

  • Manages project scopeand the change control process as appropriate

  • Develops project plansand team assignments

o Directsand monitors daily work of teams including progress toward goals

o Identifiesresource needs and secures as needed

o Providesday-to-day direction and oversight over project engineering teams

  • Analyzes OrganizationalChange Management (OCM) hurdles and devises/executes plans to overcomeresistance and foster adoption of project deliverables

  • Monitors, reviews,and/or appropriately escalates functional, quality, and timeline issues

  • Develops and executesprocurement management plan in association with Procurement and the vendormanagement plan

  • Ensures project plansand all project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored

  • Delivers engaging,informative, well-organized presentations

  • Assists customersremotely over the phone using remote control software or in person

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:

o Holds/attendsteam meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed

o Knows, understands, andfollows teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or companyprocedures

What you'll bring to us:

  • 3 years of Project Management Experience

  • Minimum of four (4) years' experience managing IT projects / programs

  • Experience with projects in multiple technologies and functions required

  • Demonstrated experience in resource management and change management techniques preferred

  • Project Management Institute

  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMI-PMP) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a project management position, using standard SDLC/PDLC practices

  • Demonstrated ability to transfer skills and knowledge to a high performing team

  • Ability to integrate and align strategy across functions, processes and teams

  • Proven ability to implement improved business processes working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with tangible results

Whatskills you'll need:

  • Implementation, technical design, and process improvement project experience

  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and enterprise relationship building experience

  • Proven ability to organize and prioritize personal tasks and activities and those of project team members as necessary

  • Demonstrated strengths in organization, reasoning, critical thinking,and problem-solving skills along with attention to detail

  • Expert computer skills andproficiency in MS Project required; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,SharePoint and Outlook required

Participates in or develops mechanisms for establishing, monitoring and integrating all project elements, product configurations and communications concerning change management processes and decisions. Coordinates the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project teams and other parts of the organization. Uses trend, earned value and variance analyses, other performance measures and risk assessments to develop plans or to recommend change. Negotiates project changes and incorporates changes into project control systems to maintain work statements, cost and schedule baselines. Transitions projects to customer for on-going support. Perform project close-out and documents lessons learned for all projects. Essential Duties: * Develops an integrated project schedule including critical path for the end to end tasks and activities necessary to successfully implement the product or service of the project and ensures resources and dependencies are identified. Ensures assigned resources are executing as planned. Provides tracking and reporting to plan and develops and mentors project teams on implementation of recovery plans as necessary. * Facilitates communication of project health and status with project teams, stakeholders and sponsors, and senior and executive level management as agreed and identified in individual Project Communication Plans. Prepares and participates in risk, issue and opportunity identification and mitigation or capture sessions and escalates to project or program leadership when assistance is required to remove road blocks. Creates and ensures adherence to an operating rhythm conducive to other required reporting or briefings including gate, phase or iteration reviews. Develops and maintains (through version control) the documented project organization structure including Responsibility, Authority, and Accountability (RAAs) of each team engaged on the project. * Monitors, tracks, and controls change to the projects through formal change control management of requirements, configuration, performance measures, cost, schedule, project organization structure, and technology environment (release schedules, infrastructure changes, etc.). * Establishes alliances with other departments and organizations by recognizing dependencies in order to assess potential partnership and commitment to the project. Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative interpersonal working relationships with others. * Provides motivation, leadership and mentors project team members including less experienced project managers outside the project. Provides feedback and performance assessments to appropriate management in a timely manner and addresses and ensures conflict among project team members is resolved. * Analyzes project performance measures (including earned value) to determine options and appropriate actions to increase project performance.
