We are seeking a smart, organized, and personable leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. As a Project Manager in the IT department you will be responsible for planning and executing projects for our infrastructure teams. This position will work closely with our server and network teams along with external vendors to manage communication and ensure timely delivery. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of IT project management experience and exposure to server and networking fundamentals.

Essential Functions:

  • Create Infrastructure project plans with the assistance of both co-located and remote stakeholders to track the progress of a given project

  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple concurrent IT Infrastructure projects and/or work orders on time and within scope

  • Facilitate all project related status meetings, documentation, and communication with IT team members, stakeholders and external vendors

  • Coordinate tasks to ensure work is properly scheduled and completed within a defined timeline

  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans to manage scope changes and risks

  • Ensure all necessary resources are assigned and engaged

  • Report on project progress, timeline, and overall health on a weekly basis

  • Escalate issues to management as needed and track identified solutions to completion

  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management for our PMO

  • Perform other project related duties as needed

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience of successfully managing Infrastructure related projects in mid to large organizations

  • Understanding of Infrastructure components including but not limited to desktop, server, network, and security

  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, vendors, and other departments

  • Strong time management and organizational skills with close attention to detail

  • Superb written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Extensive experience with core PM tools including Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, & Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.)

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a project management role including significant experience in implementation of large to medium size projects

Preferred Skills & Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • ServiceNow PPM experience preferred

Responsibilities This position will offer you the opportunity to manage project team(s) consisting of engineers, designers, estimators, controls and scheduling professionals involved in the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing high voltage substations. * You will work on challenging assignments from individual projects, large projects, major programs, to large scale engineering only, Engineer Procure and EPC projects. * Direct the Electrical team lead in the coordination of detailed design phases for all aspects of electrical engineering work. * Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, with high quality, on time performance and to strict financial requirements. * Coordinate systems design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements. * Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner, and meet client requirements and Sargent & Lundy formats. * Perform and provide independent reviews of work performed by others, including scopes of work, proposals, procurement specifications, and contract documents. Essential skills and experience: * This position requires a BS preferably from an ABET-accredited program. * An advanced management/business degree or certification is preferred. * PE license. * Specific experience in Project Management of Utility Transmission, Substation or Energy Projects. * Knowledge of engineering standards including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEC, IEEE and ANSI. * Ten or more years experience in the design engineering and/or management of high voltage utility type projects. Experience should include preparation, oversite or management of scopes of work, development of conceptual layouts, determination of design basis, the selection of equipment and materials, and the preparation and assembling of calculations and specifications. * Experience in execution of projects in multiple contract arrangements including EPC, Owners Engineer, Traditional or Joint Ventures a plus. * Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support, engineer or management role. * Excellent written and verbal communications a must. Experience in writing proposals. * Experience in cost allocation and control, estimating, proposal preparation, risk assessment programs and techniques. Valued but not required skills and experience: * PMP Certification. * Construction and start-up experience a plus. * Commissioning experience a plus.
