Your impact as a Project Manager, Platform Services

The IT Project Manager, Platform Services is responsible for overall project management activities for medium to large sized projects with low to medium complexity, scope, and financial impact. Responsible for ensuring project is delivered on time, within budget, and meeting project success criteria. Develops and maintains project charter, project plans, dependency management plans, change management plans, issue/risk mitigation plans, and other project management deliverables. Responsible for submitting agendas/minutes, setting timelines, monitoring task progress, budget tracking, resource allocation, scope management, risk assessment, issue management and Get-To-Green action plans. Escalates issues to leadership as needed. Provides recurring project status reports to leadership and key stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages medium to large-sized projects with low to medium complexity, scope, and/or financial impact.

  • Responsible for use of applicable Project Management methodologies.

  • Accountable for management of stakeholders engagement, project governance, project financials, resource allocations, issues, risks, and escalations.

  • Develops and Manages project plans, deliverables, and status reporting to stakeholders.

  • Defines and manages execution of project activities by identified responsible parties in consultation with aligned SMEs.

  • Develops and manages relationships with project technical teams and key business stakeholders.

  • Conducts post project review, stakeholder satisfaction surveys, and shares learnings across key business stakeholders.

  • Mentors and/or coaches team members.

Role-specific Technical Skills and

Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of MS Enterprise Project Management (EPM), MS Power BI, MS SharePoint, Workday, Coupa and MS Office - advanced functions.

  • Certified PMI Project Management Professional (PMP).

  • Strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills.

  • Advanced influencing and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

  • Comprehensive understanding of PMI PMBoK, Agile Methodology, and Digital Transformation project management principles and application against client-facing projects.

  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Infrastructure Deployment (ITIL) services and practices.

  • Solid foundation in IT Platforms (Data Center, LAN/WAN Networks, M&A, Servers, PCs, Mobile, Cloud, Telecom, Analytics) deployment and computer science principles and practices.

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

  • Ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, with quality results and on business case.

  • Strong executive leadership, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrates and models behaviors described in the Aon Leadership Model.

Collaborates with research and development to create products and validate early product definitions. This role is both strategic and technical in nature and requires meaningful industry experience. As a Senior Manager, Product Management, you will be responsible for a specific product line contribution to the overall business unit. This includes increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. You will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects.
