Position Title: IT Project Manager Infrastructure Cabling

General Summary:
Under general supervision, has oversight for various Network Services and PDS (facilities) projects of a highly complex nature. In the Network Services Group, the Project Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of Beaumont Health Corporate Network Infrastructure (low voltage cabling) at hospitals and offsite locations. They work in coordination with carriers to implement WAN circuits, vendors, manufacturers, internal IT Infrastructure and PDS partners to implement the best solutions for all Beaumont Health System Employees, Physicians, and Patients. The Project Manager will assist Network Analysts on equipment designs, implementations and support as needed. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating WAN circuits additions/changes for all Beaumont Health locations, this includes site visits, outside pathways, design, construction/implementation and testing.

Essential Duties:
1.Coordination of activities of project team including identification of appropriate resources needed to ensure timely completion of project within budget
2.Survey, design, cost estimation, and procurement of network infrastructure at all employed and private practice physicians
3.Responsible for developing and maintaining Beaumont Health network & plant infrastructure best practices at all facilities.
4.Documentation of project risks and issues with facilitation of resolution plan(s)
5.Communication of project status to stakeholders, management and senior IT leadership
6.Assure quality of work by coordinating review prior to implementation with appropriate written documentation
7.Recognize and advise leadership of concerns and/or issues, and provide appropriate follow up to identified issues
8.Coordinates activities necessary to accomplish the expected outcomes of multiple initiatives as assigned by management. May assist in the delegation, coordination and motivation of staff.
9.Provides proactive, effective communication with verbal and written status reports, manages meetings and facilitates requirements, problem solving.
10. Maintains an understanding of the organization and the tools available in order to successfully plan work detail and schedule resources to meet target dates. Coordinates multiple activities, set priorities and provides direction to others.
11. Maintains an understanding of the industry-wide changes and trends of technology developments and applications.

Standard Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in network plant infrastructure.

  • Project management certification and 5 years of experience in managing network plant infrastructure projects.

  • Certification in Cable Plant Design & Engineering; BICSI Certification

Other Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to develop, document and ensure adherence to technical standards

  • Ability to independently research and perform analysis to resolve complex issues

  • Ability to successfully communicate technical information to non-technical audience

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and react to customers appropriately while exhibiting the highest level of customer service

  • Demonstrated success in using the specific tools and technologies required in this position

RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Leadership * Direct and manage multiple projects from start to finish * Interfaces with executive level management on a regular basis * Presents project status and issues to executive level personnel * Conducts regular meetings with project stakeholders documenting current status of project including technical, schedule and financial issues that may be present * Ability to assess problems and solve them with a sense of urgency * Flexible during times of change * Coaches and mentors business colleagues on NAB's established PM processes and project requirements Project Management * Develop and manage project timelines and work with identified resources from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project. * Ensures assigned projects are completed within schedules while meeting business objectives and design guidelines. * Responsible for all aspects of the project over the entire project life cycle life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close) * Responsible for developing a schedule to ensure timely completion of the project * Deliver progress reports to stakeholders * Effectively communicate project expectations to all stakeholders * Assist and review all requirements and planning documents * Define and Manages project scope, goals, risks, issues, deliverables, and schedule of individual project tasks * Work with the project stakeholders to identify project tasks and coordinate resources, including the review of individual issues and concerns (e.g., vacation and time-off requests) and resolving or escalating such issues as needed * Must be able to handle aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple responsibilities * Coordinates resources across multiple locations and time zones. * Provides coaching on team dynamics and team accountability related to delivery commitments Job Requirements REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience * Minimum three (3) experience in a Project Management role * Proven ability to specify a project plan, timeline and manage the process. * Working knowledge of Software Development practices. * Experience using at least one SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodology * Experience managing large software projects * PMP Certification is a plus * Ability to assist in writing project requirements/specifications * Ability to prioritize and handle changing deadlines * Strong ability to communicate project needs to all levels of staff, including management * Exceptional organizational skills Additional Information: Direct Reports: None Travel Requirements: None License and Certification Requirements: None North American Bancard reserves the right to alter this description at any time.
