The IT Project Manager is part of a thriving team that manages all projects within Information Technology at Gateway, as well as the overall project processes. This person is responsible for developing and managing project plans for projects of all sizes, as well as monitoring the team's bandwidth across multiple projects, adjusting as needed to align delivery on higher priority deliverables, and communicating impacts on lower priority deliverables. This position requires excellent independent judgment and discretionary decision-making skills to see projects through from start to finish. Position works across multiple departments to set pace, and identify roadblocks, solutions, and timelines. In addition to collaborating with your teammates, you'll communicate with stakeholders across the org to work toward the best possible outcomes. This team cares deeply about ensuring our team members are thriving spiritually, relationally, and professionally.

You like to meet needs before you're asked, appreciate feedback, love spreadsheets and project management software, are driven by a desire to learn more, and appreciate how technology enables us to spread the gospel in a greater capacity and reach people exactly where they are.

This is a fast-paced environment, where rush requests and constant shifting of priorities are the norm. You will receive thorough training and guidance from leadership but be expected to handle a high level of responsibility. On occasion, you may have a flexible work schedule that will sometimes include odd hours and weekends.

What you'll do all day:

  • Outlines project requirements, and scopes, and collaborates with team members on approach, the effort, and the milestones/tasks involved.

  • Communicates proactively with all involved personnel to identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.

  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while effectively measuring and managing priorities.

  • Act as liaison between project team, stakeholders, leadership, and IT teams.

  • Work in a supportive learning atmosphere where opportunities for training and advancement are provided.

  • Lead our daily stand up meeting, sprint planning and backlog meetings.
