IT Project Manager

Contract

Project manager will perform an important role in planning, organizing, coordinating, tracking, reporting, and guiding successful delivery of projects providing business value from inception to completion. You will have experience implementing effective process/technology change, supporting interdependent projects, and driving results through innovation.

About the role:

  • Responsible for project management including creation and delivery, helping define related resource requirements and budgets.

  • Develop integrated communication plans.

  • Interface with IT and other functional groups as required to accomplish objectives including establishing strong relationships with stakeholders and users.

  • Provide routine project management oversight and reporting (cost, performance, and schedule).

  • Manage risks, develop mitigation strategies and communicate impacts.

  • Coordinate and partner across all relevant groups to ensure approved deliverables are integrated, tested, and launched successfully.

  • Troubleshoot project issues and helps to develop alternative tasks, schedules, milestones, processes etc. to resolve issues.

  • Communicate project status, issues, and recommended mitigation plans to IT PMO, cross-functional core and executive teams.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years IT Project Management-relevant work experience.

  • Experience leading application development projects is a must.

  • Posses strong communication and planning skills be detailed oriented, well organized, problem solving/analytical, self-directed, team focused, and results oriented individual.

  • A solutions enabler that can take business requirements and work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to architect, design, and implement IT technical solutions, processes, or projects.

  • Demonstrated project management capabilities including the ability to create and maintain project schedules and plans, the ability to mentor and motivate project teams, and the ability to bring structure into a fast-paced innovative environment.

  • Experience leading in a highly-matrixed environment with success attaining goals in a non-top down organization.

  • PMP certification strongly desired.

VIEW JOBS 7/13/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-10-11T00:00 General Scope and Summary SAGE Therapeutics is searching for a creative, resourceful, integrative thinker to play a critical cross-functional role within Clinical Development, driving development program projects forward. This role requires strategic thinking, solution finding, and agility as evidenced by flexibility, adaptability to change, curiosity, and ability to lead and drive change. Serve as the cross functional liaison for communication between clinical, medical, regulatory, pharmacovigilance, and data management/statistics divisions. Assist in developing project plans, budgets, timelines, communication processes, and standards. Responsible for coordinating clinical development business objectives and ensuring that processes meet Sage standards and long-term business goals. Roles and Responsibilities * Support clinical development activities and teams for clinical stage programs and ensure consistency with clinical development strategy * Facilitate collaboration among multi-disciplinary clinical matrix teams and major contributors to integrated clinical development strategy and Clinical Development Plans. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive timelines and establish deadlines, to monitor and summarize progress of projects, and to ensure accountability within the team. * Support clinical, operational and medical collaborative excellence across all clinical development projects for assigned programs * Develop communication processes, sharing of lessons learned and standards of operating to drive effective team productivity and program progress. * Drive process development and continuous improvement efforts across various clinical development functions and organizational teams * Facilitate Clinical Subteam Meetings, developing agendas and tracking meeting minutes, lead meetings, and proactively support risk mitigation and action resolution. * Assist in the selection and implementation of information systems to be used within Clinical Development. * Identify and monitor key project tasks, dependencies, and assist in the development of risk mitigation and management strategies. * Support teams with tracking metrics, program analytics, reporting/status updates, disclosure and transparency initiatives, including but not limited to Sunshine Act/Global Spend Transparency * Build and maintain working relationships with internal and external team members involved in the projects. * Work with finance team and functional leaders to track and forecast departmental spend and resources. Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient. Ability to analyze issues to develop realistic and measurable plans and to anticipate risk. Ability to build sustainable relationships with other team members and to create/promote an effective working environment for the team. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree required * At least 5 years of experience in a biotech/pharmaceutical role * At least 2 years of experience in a role in clinical development, clinical operations, and/or study management. Preferred Qualifications: * Advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, MPH, MS) * Relevant experience in CNS and rare disease is also preferred, with sound operational knowledge of the broader R&D and clinical development processes. * Demonstrated experience in scientific project management, clinical development strategy and study design/trial * Management and reporting with proven excellence in complex stakeholder management. * Proven track record in leading multi-functional teams, working with all levels of management and the ability to lead through influence in order to drive team projects forward. * Possesses detailed knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulations governing clinical research * Demonstrated experience with major regulatory submissions (NDA, BLA, MAA) is a plus * Fluency with use of MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. * In depth attention to detail and the ability to work individually, within a multi-disciplinary team and matrix environment, as well as with external partners and vendors. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
