State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) is a global asset manager. The SSGA Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) technology team is looking for a project manager/ business analyst to join their global team. The person will lead and support initiatives and ongoing development efforts for the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) business group responsible for identification, control, and reporting of operational, investment, liquidity, counterparty, and model risk globally.

As a Project Manager / Business Analyst you will:

  • Collaborate with business partners to prioritize, define, document and assist to deliver technology solutions

  • Develop, maintain and track the project requests, including progress, prioritization, and issues management

  • Provide domain expertise, perform business analysis, document epics, user stories and acceptance criteria and work in an Agile development framework

  • Act as an intermediary between the business users and development teams and communicate effectively objectives, initiatives, issues and resolutions

  • Analyze data issues reported by the Risk analysts, work with other partners to track and monitor data issues in the recurring cycles as we migrate to consolidated data sources of holdings data

  • Provide ongoing support for level three production issues

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a project management/ business analyst role or equivalent management role

  • Understanding of the relationships between technology, data, operations and business areas along with knowledge in the financial markets preferably risk business domain

  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills along with an understanding organizational process and data governance

  • Strong leadership, collaborative, and project management skills with focus on forward-looking goals and the project vision

  • Experience with multi-asset class proprietary / vended risk analytics engines (e.g. Barclay's POINT, BarraOne, Axioma) is preferable

  • Experience with risk data aggregation and risk reporting is preferred

  • Experience with Agile development methodology

  • Any specific experience with data management standard methodologies, data quality controls, regional or regulatory reporting requirements is preferable

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience

  • CFA / FRM is preferable

Technical Skills:

  • Mid-level competency in SQL to query raw data is preferred

  • Familiarity with BI tools and data visualization for reporting data effectively is preferable
