Job Summary

We are looking for an IT Project Manager who possesses a skillset that is balance between technical project management, leadership, and strategic & business management. The IT Project Manager is assigned by the IT PMO to lead team(s) to achieve project objectives and meet stakeholders expectations. The IT Project Manager manages internal and cross-functional technology delivery initiatives, of all sizes and levels of complexity, from start to finish; this position is responsible for all project management activities throughout all phases the IT project life cycle: exploration, planning, development/execution, deployment, and project closure. IT Project Manager is often responsible for managing multiple project teams, with matrixed resources, at the same time; this position is responsible for the output/production of the respective project teams. With a primary focus on meeting project requirements, the IT Project manager must perform project integration activities in a collaborative decision-making environment, involving team members as local domain experts.

This position is located in the Orem, Utah area

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent technical certification from an accredited college or university (B.S. in information systems preferred)
  • Four years of experience managing successful technology delivery projects (medium to large size) using a formal project management life cycle and software development methodology
  • Experience leading project teams of various sizes including teams with remote team members
  • Experience in dealing with clients and project stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in coaching and developing others, preferably in the area of project management
  • Technical project management; ability to multi-task and prioritize activities for projects of all sizes and levels of complexity; coordinate cross functional work and activity in a matrix environment; ability to collaborate and function in a large team environment
  • Continuous improvement
  • Critical thinking; analytical and problem-solving expertise
  • Leadership; expert in facilitating and fostering teamwork; conflict resolution
  • Project integration management; project planning
  • Agile development methodologies & frameworks (e.g. Scrum)

  • Experience developing, installing, or managing the installation of network infrastructure and/or enterprise information systems/software
  • Experience in acquiring and using external contract resources in IT development projects
  • Proficiency with Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • PMI Project Management Professional certification preferred
  • Business Analysis and/or programming experience in large projects led by project managers in a PMO preferred

POSITION: Senior Project Manager - Construction LOCATION: Throughout Utah and surrounding intermountain states. JOB SUMMARY: Provide overall management direction for existing projects and develop new business opportunities relative to a particular client, group of clients, geographical area or type of project. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy. * Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget. * Plan, organize and staff key field positions. * Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures. * Represent company in project meetings, assist in labor strategy meetings, etc. * Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company's interest. * Initiate and maintain relationships with client and A/E contacts. * Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements. * Complete other directives as assigned by your direct supervisor. * Maintain an insurable driving record. QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. * Minimum 10 years of construction industry experience with 5+ years experience as Project Manager on heavy civil projects. * Experience managing, large complex projects whose scope exceeds at least 30 Million. * Knowledge of construction, design, finance and management required. * Superior communication and interpersonal skills essential * Skilled in assuming responsibility and reaching deadlines. * Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook * Must be willing and able to travel.
