This is not a remote position. The position is located at the corporate offices in Germantown, TN.

Job Summary

The IT Programmer reports to the Director Software Development and assists IT Developers with the configuring, development, and enhancement of operating systems software.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Tests systems software for utilization throughout the company and maintains interfaces with external software applications.

  • Applies software development lifecycle to aid in implementing effective, efficient and quality applications.

  • Implements changes and customizations to applications as directed.

  • Prepares and develops progress reports as directed.

  • Assists in documenting, tracking, monitoring and communicating software-related dependencies, conflicts, issues and risks.

  • Conducts research on emerging software, hardware, and new technologies for implementation.

  • Performs analysis and identifies problems affecting software application performance.

  • Installs, upgrades, and tests application software to streamline company processes.

  • Writes code in programming languages to optimize the efficiency of the network and server infrastructure.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study and one (1) to two (2) years of experience in a programmer role, or an equivalent combination of experience and education required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server

  • Knowledge of C# programming language and the .NET Framework

  • Skill and ability to communicate verbally and in writing, including with non-technical audiences

  • Skill in organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet specified deadlines

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and maintain appropriate discretion

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
