What You Will Do

As IT Program Manager, you will work to support the organization of efforts between IT verticals (Applications, Data, Help Desk, IT Operations and Security) to drive alignment with the needs of the business and associated timelines. This involves working with IT leadership to ensure proper allocation of resources and efforts on the highest-priority initiatives. The role will have focus on maintaining a collaborative relationship between IT and the rest of the business, with a focus on becoming a trusted advisor and providing strategic thought leadership regarding improving business operations through technology improvements.

The Opportunity

  • Collaborate with vendor and Internal Project Managers to improve cross-company communication, collaboration and timely completion of deliverables
  • Work with IT Leadership and Sr. Leadership to build and update the Technology Roadmap
  • Work with IT Leadership to track and report on progress towards completion of the Technology Roadmap. Quarterly Reporting, and Board Reports
  • Lead and/or participate in regularly scheduled meetings with key stakeholders
    • Status Reports
    • Project Updates
    • Issues / Blockers
    • Planned Work for Next Cycle
    • Future Projects
  • Dependent on previous work experience, this role may help with Solution Design/Validation prior to assignment of resources and work commencing
  • Dependent on previous work experience, this role may serve as an additional individual contributor on Project Work (including efforts related to Design, Configuration, Support and Training of various clinical systems)
  • Collaborate with various teams and individual contributors to review Change Management processes, assess for risk, redundancy, and collisions
  • Oversee and lead Organizational and Departmental roadmapping activities
  • May serve in a Project Manager function for internal initiatives where a software vendor or consultant PM is not engaged
  • Operate in a high-functioning clinical setting and understand complex clinical processes and associated technologies
  • Ensure timely submission of deliverables/progress reports according to timelines specified by the funder in annual grant agreements
  • Assess overall IT Effectiveness via company surveys, and other tools and available resources
  • On an as-needed basis, provide support to ensure project completion to other staff within IT team to include, but not be limited to, system configuration and troubleshooting support tickets.

This position is designed to be a hybrid role, splitting time between the office and a work from home environment.  

This position may require minimal travel to trainings or conference events, as well as occasional travel to outreach clinics throughout the state of Indiana, as needed.  

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Equivalent real-world experience may be accepted in lieu of education requirement.
  • Minimum 6 years of related program or project management experience required
  • Minimum 6 years of experience implementing complex healthcare technology systems required
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with collaborative architecture using multiple cloud platforms in an integrated manner required
  • Minimum 6 years of experience working in support of clinical teams and technology systems required
  • Additional knowledge requirements:
    • Knowledge of project management methodologies
    • Iterative Project Lifecycles – Agile/Scrum
    • Knowledge of various Project Management and Road mapping tools (Ex: JIRA and RoadMunk)
    • High level of knowledge of complex and integrated clinical systems
    • Experience with complex Business Structure
    • Experience with Clinical Billing Processes
    • Knowledge of Interoperability in Healthcare Technology
    • High level of knowledge of IT best practices for processes and procedures
