30% This position is responsible for additions and modifications of content for all Agronomy affiliated websites (Agroecology, CSRA, Forages). These are expected to be handled in a proactive manner to ensure the website(s) function as expected and remain current and contain relevant information. This will require independent work, as well as routine communication with faculty, staff and supervisors.
25% Provide IT support for Agronomy faculty and staff and graduate students. This includes troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues and providing support for graduate computer lab, research lab and office computers.
It is the responsibility of this position to provide and install all necessary software (new or upgrades) so that all faculty and staff computers utilize the same versions and remain current. A list of available software should be maintained, and all licenses renewed or purchased as required.
20% Provide training and expert knowledge on software platforms used by UF and the department such as Microsoft Teams, Planner, MS Forms and Flow, etc. It is expected that new functionality will be presented routinely to appropriate groups which includes the benefit for use for individual and departmental purposes.
10% Establish and manage video meetings and conferences for Agronomy faculty and staff regardless of meeting location. Ensure connections are working as expected and work with other responsible IT support personnel to correct any issues as needed.
For recorded meetings, make appropriate edits as needed prior to sharing link for viewing. Maintain video conferencing equipment and provide support for users of the Agronomy conference rooms.
10% Coordinate collection of information about attractive and sensitive assets to provide to departmental asset manager for input into MyAssets. Assist as needed with annual asset inventory by identifying or locating attractive and sensitive items.
3% This position will be responsible for all computer and/or tablet purchases to ensure that these devices are compliant with University rules and regulations related to security. A list of all computers and tablets must be maintained and monitored to determine replacement needs annually.
2% Maintain and update employee access to MS Teams Channels, departmental e-mail lists, etc. Maintain server folders including conversion of existing files and folders to OneDrive. Manage PrintSmart equipment for supplies, troubleshooting, and determine needs as requests for equipment are made.
1% Other general tasks for the department as required.

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience developing and maintaining websites.
Experience with computer repair and networking. Knowledge of University regulations and policies related to computer security.
Experience with creating complex forms using MS Forms or other Form software
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interact well with faculty and staff and provide timely responses or follow-up to requests.
Motivation to assist and provide support as needed and a proactive approach to the job is desirable.
