We are searching for an IT Procurement Specialist to join our team located at our offices in Lincolnshire, IL.

Your Role:

As an IT Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing and implementing procurement initiatives to reduce cost and improve operational effectiveness throughout the organization.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Create requests for proposals, solicit suppliers, evaluate supplier responses and agreements and provide recommendations to management.

  • Manage the fleet of installed Lexmark devices; order equipment, manage service delivery, maintain master data and handle retirement of leases.

  • Manage contract labor engagements for project and staff augmentation. Use SAP Fieldglass to facilitate engagement when appropriate.

  • Execute on core responsibilities of contract review and negotiation while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

  • Draft and negotiate approved RGHL IT contract forms with vendors independently under supervision of Corporate Counsel

  • Draft and negotiate third-party contract forms under supervision of Corporate Counsel

Ultimately, you will develop and administer sustainable IT contract management processes including drafting and negotiating processes, forms administration and approval processes.

We need you to have:

  • 3-5 years of business experience in Procurement, IT, Finance or related field

  • Strong background with IT, software licensing, contingent labor and contracts preferred; familiar with common IT terminology and industry standards

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively

Icing on the cake:

  • BS/BA degree
  • SAP experience

The Procurement Specialist will have experience in driving down Total Cost of Ownership through negotiation in a complex Supply Chain environment. Responsible for negotiating, coordinating, and assuring that assigned programs are purchased at the lowest possible cost. The person in this role will coordinate with several teams across Zebra and will interact with our most important suppliers to satisfy organizational requirements. The role will work with Engineering, Product Management, and Supply Chain among others to achieve Best Cost at Launch initiatives for the organization. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, creative, and data driven thinker that can challenge the status quo to achieve the best result for the business. The position will interact with senior levels of the organization and shall exhibit good communication and presentation skills. Responsibilities * Continuously focus on reducing the total cost of goods within their commodity, by applying an innovative, experienced approach to strategic sourcing methodology. * In-depth knowledge of component manufacturing processes and design rules for Consumer and/or Industrial electronic devices. * Manage successful cost negotiations with strategic suppliers. * Develop and maintain an understanding of industry supplier options and continuously monitor sourcing and technology trends. * Working directly with business stakeholders, designs a wide variety of moderately complex reports and some complex reports using data from one or multiple systems to specifications. Delivers report in format to aid stakeholders outside the functional area (powerpoint, PDF, etc) * Understanding of key component cost drivers and a history with use and development of Clean Sheet tools. * Ability to develop negotiation strategies with key suppliers to deliver results within a unique business environment. * Work within category sourcing strategies as established by the Global Category Managers to negotiate with Direct EMS/JDM partners to optimize Product Costs. * Work with the broader Zebra team to establish Cost Targets in support of the Product Business Case.
