TSR Consulting has been asked by their valued client, a leading manufacturer of cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and cardiovascular disease prescription drugs , to assist with their need for the following role:

IT Portfolio Manager

Location Princeton, NJ
6 month+ contract

We do not work with 3rd party vendors on C2C

Responsibilities:

  • Within the assigned function, partners with IT Leadership and business unit leaders to collect yearly investment needs and 3 years capabilities roadmaps.

  • Coordinates the collection of the necessary information to facilitate the prioritization of investments and the measurement of outcomes in a continuous basis.

  • Supports these investments in a hands-on manner by ensuring all information is up-to-date as per the defined processes and systems.

  • Ensures that investment outcomes are relevant and well defined to facilitate measurement.

  • Working with the assigned function IT leadership, collects the needs of different business units including investment spend, risk & opportunities and long term run cost impact.

  • Facilitates the creation of high quality business cases and 3 year capabilities roadmaps.

  • Serves as an advocate for proactive planning and continuous improvement; sets and communicates clear and aligned goals, monitors progress, and accepts accountability.

Skills:

  • BS in Computer Science and 3-7 years of relevant experience preferred (3-7 years).

  • Business knowledge with proven leadership abilities.

  • Possesses familiarity with and awareness of the Pharmaceutical Industry.

  • Capable of working cooperatively across boundaries and within a matrix to achieve results.

  • Ability to deliver complex systems to one or multiple geographies and business units.

  • Experienced in information technology and management, project and portfolio assessment, planning, systems development and business case development.

  • Demonstrates strong influencing skills with key partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, influence and partner with IT leaders.

  • Financial experience with budget management and business case development.

  • Portfolio Management experience ideally in the Pharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong experience with investments/projects outcome measurement.

  • Ability and comfort with matrix management. Matrix management includes business partners as well as multiple IT capability leaders.

  • Strong ability to manage business process analysis and improvement including benefit estimation and post implementation metrics.

  • Ability to lead dynamically and energize multi-discipline work teams to learn and apply new skills/techniques to respond to business needs.

As a Portfolio Compliance Monitoring Associate you will be a member of the Portfolio Compliance Group (PCG) a global team within the Business Operations department at BlackRock. Our team is responsible for implementing controls and processes to assure compliance with all applicable regulatory and portfolio guidelines. We fulfill this mission primarily by extracting, analyzing, coding and monitoring client, regulatory and internal investment guidelines on the firm's Aladdin system. Our team also handles reviewing new issues and voluntary corporate action events to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and client specific guidelines. We are engaged with and provide services to many other departments and functions across the firm, including: portfolio management, trading, client services, technology, operations and legal. The Portfolio Compliance Monitoring Associate role provides you with exposure to all of our internal business departments and investment products across BlackRock globally. You will acquire knowledge of global regulatory regimes and jurisdictions as well as an opportunity to develop within a global group and firm. Primary responsibilities include: * Pre-clearing syndicated primary market purchases to ensure that BlackRock affiliate and Client affiliate involvements are aligned with applicable exemptions/guidelines. * Monitoring & investigating pre-trade and post-trade compliance violations and collaborating with partners on resolutions. * Finalizing prospectus document reviews and retrievals. * Liaising with Global Capital Markets, Legal and Compliance and Portfolio Management to clarify any missing queries with primary market reviews. * Becoming proficient in understanding BlackRock's various Aladdin applications, trade flow process, and data environment. * Working closely with global team members on pre-trade reviews and other post-trade processes. * Identifying and participating in efficiency and improvement initiatives by providing ideas and suggestions on possible enhancements to systems or processes. * Creating and maintaining procedure documents. * Working on special projects as assigned.
