IT Operations Technology Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

Prince Industries is seeking an experienced IT Analyst to support the company's information technology infrastructure and operations. They will direct and coordinate the development and production activities of computerized management information systems of the organization by performing the duties personally or through subordinate personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Consults with management to analyze computer system needs for management information and functional operations. Determines scope and priorities of projects as well as system capacity and equipment purchases.

·       Recommends and develops plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software purchases, budget and staffing.

·       Manages the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems for the organization.

·       Develops, implements and monitors management information system policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, legal and regulatory compliance.

·       Manages the maintenance of LAN/WAN equipment and networks. Performs system administration of microcomputers as needed.

·       Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products.

·       Provides technical support to end users connected to mainframe in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware.

·       Submits requests or conducts any necessary training or instruction on software programs to end users as needed.

·       Manages computer operation scheduling, backup, storage and retrieval functions.

·       Aligns computer and voice system technologies to compliment and support the operation of the business.

·       Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction and maintenance to determine costs and impact and addresses problems.

·       Identifies and resolves hardware and software problems.

·       Defines user needs and recommends alternatives or training issues.

·       Develops, maintains and tests disaster recovery plans.

·       Additional responsibilities as assigned by Management.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES

·       Excellent communication skills required to effectively communicate in both oral and written form to relay technical information and instruction to a wide variety of individuals and groups.

·       Must be able to interact appropriately in a professional manner with all levels within the organization.

·       Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and personnel as it applies to the job duties.

·       Excellent computer skills to effectively generate reports, retrieve data, etc.

·       Exceptional knowledge of hardware and software installation, testing and operation.

·       Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.

·       Excellent knowledge of the principles of data communications and telecommunications.

·       Good Knowledge of local area network concepts and fundamentals.

·       Excellent Knowledge of software products and communication utilities.

·       Excellent organizational skills required to complete work assignments and prioritize urgent matters.

·       Ability to perform effectively under pressure; involves coping with stress and maintaining a composed, professional manner in all circumstances related to co-workers.

·       Must be familiar with a variety of software applications relating to the business environment.

·       Experience in a manufacturing work environment a plus.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

·       Must possess a bachelor’s degree in CIS/Computer Science or

·       Master’s degree, advanced graduate course work and/or accreditation desired.

·       Minimum of 3 years related work experience required.
