Job Description Summary:
Provide software and hardware technical support to colleagues in an office and production environment. Evaluate various business processes and recommend, design, test, implement, and train colleagues regarding software changes to support process enhancement. This position will receive training in other departments (e.g., Finance, scheduling, etc.) and possibly provide fill-in coverage with the objective of developing a deeper understanding of the various specific processes they will be providing IT support.
Major Responsibilities
Provide primarily on-site support with occasional remote assistance, if needed after hours, to diagnose faults and oversee or implement time-critical repairs. Evaluate support issues and communicate/escalate issues to appropriate additional support resources when applicable. Develop strategies to improve the overall reliability and efficiency of the supporting corrugator information systems. Liaison with other professionals to develop and implement these strategies. Implement, test, and develop documentation for various system improvements. Provide employee training regarding system improvements. Other duties as assigned
Shift/Hours
Available to work 1st shift with the ability and willingness to work/cover various shifts on call when needed.
Ability and willingness to travel
Knowledge and Required Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required.
Solid knowledge of Networking concepts.
A+ core certification
Understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers(PLC) concepts
Knowledge of business systems and scheduling
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint ).
The ability to research, read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and manuals.
Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to work cooperatively with people at all levels.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently to meet deadlines
Education and Experience- Technical degree preferred in a related area such as Applied Science, Mechatronics, Automation, or Supply Chain Management (Assoc./ Bachelors) and /or 2+ years of equivalent work experience.
