JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/ObjectiveAct as customer advocate, triaging, and resolving issues ranging from password resets to store outages, firewall and routing issues, software bugs and feature requests. Escalate support issues to appropriate personnel. Work closely with Operation Support Analyst II's on troubleshooting complicated support issues and building skill set.

Essential Functions

  • Respond to user requests that come in via phone and ticketing system; phone requests being priority workload .

  • Resolve requests and when needed, escalate to appropriate personnel .

  • Act as customer advocate, researching, troubleshooting and pushing for thorough resolution of issues in a timely manner.

  • Document and summarize interactions with end users accurately for tracking and reporting purposes .

  • Troubleshoot and support proprietary software programs as well as third party software and applications.

  • Troubleshoot hardware located in the retail environment.

  • Work with members of Operations Support on projects and special initiatives .

  • Support of Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Apple operating systems .

Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Call Center Schedule/Hour.

Required Education and Experience

  • AS degree in technical field and/or technical certifications.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • AS degree in technical field.

  • Exceptional customer service skills .

  • Minimum one year verifiable technology support .

  • Industry certifications a plus .

  • Ability to deal with stress and changing priorities .

  • Basic understanding of firewall and routing technologies .

  • Strong troubleshooting skills .

  • Familiar with Microsoft operating systems .

  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory .

  • Basic knowledge of DNS.

Responsibilities About Our Career Opportunity Summit Medical Group has an opening for an Operations Support Coordinator responsible for successfully carrying out the mission of the Operations Support department. The Operations Support Coordinator assists in efficiently supporting all operational aspects of Summit Medical Group physician practices within the scope of policies established and authority delegated by the Director of Operations. This is a Full time opportunity. Responsibilities: (List does not include all duties assigned) * Collaborates with Director of Operations and other departments to identify effective training for site personnel which improves operational effectiveness. Implements effective training initiatives. * In collaboration with Director of Operations, creates and implements internal work plans and consulting services which assist Site Managers in effectively managing their practice site(s). * Supports flexible departmental structure to respond promptly and effectively to identified needs at the site level. * Continually identifies potential workflow and technology solutions to increase operational efficiency of the practice sites. * Collaborates with other departments to implement support programs for new technologies (e.g. EMR). * Provides interim site management services to support effective operation of sites without managers. * Implements programs to develop Site Managers and minimize Site Manager turn over. * Assists with operational support for practices in crisis or with emergent operational needs. * Maintains strong relationship with Site Managers throughout network. * Coordinates due diligence for physician partnership and practice acquisitions. * Integrates newly acquired practice sites into Summit. * Assists with development of new site facilities. * Supports development of new service lines within sites. * Participates in professional development activities to keep current with health care trends and practices. * At all times represents Summit Medical Group with professionalism to public, vendors, physicians, etc. * Continually displays exceptional verbal and written communication skills. * Reports for work at time scheduled and is regular in attendance. * Adheres to all appropriate aspects of the corporate compliance program. * Maintains strictest confidentiality. * Actively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities.
