Our client is seeking an IT Service Delivery/Operations Manager. This role will be responsible for leading activities and teams, providing operational management, maintenance and incident management for their global data enterprise service delivery. The environment is made up of highly available, decentralized systems running across remote offices, multiple on-premise data centers and cloud locations. The fundamental focus of this role is ensuring that the client's complete service portfolio and the supporting systems associated with its delivery are continuously available to and performant for all internal and external customers worldwide.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years implementing, operating and supporting distributed data enterprises, including networking, storage, compute, security systems, telephony, WAN, on-premises and Co-Lo hosting, public and private cloud services, monitoring, load balancing, routing protocols, backup and disaster recovery as well as leading teams performing those same tasks.

  • 2+ years direct experience in supervision of 3rd party technical teams and vendor management.

  • Direct experience planning and managing large scale projects.

  • Full-stack knowledge of IT infrastructure including applications, databases (Oracle, MS SQL, Hadoop), operating systems, hypervisors, network devices, storage, backup, servers, operating systems, hosting, data communications, containers, etc.

  • Direct experience operating public cloud-based enterprises in multiple regions, both Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure experience preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of IT service management including change, configuration, asset, incident and problem management.

  • Direct experience as an active practitioner implementing and operating within the following frameworks: Lean, ITIL, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, SDLC, data lifecycle management. Relevant certifications preferred.

  • Experience within a manufacturing or data sciences firm in the healthcare industry.

  • Extensive experience supporting high performance, highly available global enterprises in a complex, decentralized IT organization, which focuses on the protection of intellectual property and sensitive information.

Preferred:

  • Direct experience implementing and leading teams in:
    Hosted Microsoft systems, including Active Directory, DNS, Exchange, Office application suite & related supporting components and Hybrid Office 365 implementations.

  • Extensive experience leading operations teams using Service Now ITSM tools.

  • Specifying, procuring and implementing data and telecommunications circuits, including wireline, telephony, fibre and MPLS.

  • RedHat Linux-based servers and related supporting components.

  • Enterprise CUCM telephony systems and PSTN interconnections.

  • Familiarity with implementation and operation of both Oracle and MS SQL database systems in distributed, multinational environments.

  • Professional technical certifications: Network Certification (CCNA or equivalent);

  • Cloud Technical Certification (AWS CSAA or equivalent); Red Hat Linux Engineer Certification (RHCE or equivalent); Microsoft platform certification (MCSE or equivalent).

  • University Degree or equivalent in operations management, computer science, information technology or an engineering discipline.

  • Industry experience in progressively greater scopes of responsibility and comparable advanced professional certifications may be considered as a substitute for a degree.
