The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.
IT Operations Manager
Primarily responsible for the entire Operations Team. Oversees and manages the scope of work for the Enterprise Management Centers (MCs) and SMEs.
Responsible for establishing CONUS MC(s), and OCONUS MC(s), making sure EITSM capability is provided 24 hours per day/7 days per week/365 days per year. Responsible for developing and maintaining a personnel back-up plan, facilitating continued performance 24x7x365 in the event of catastrophic and non-catastrophic events and work stoppages. Responsible for effectively managing and staffing qualified personnel to perform all PWS requirements for MC operations, managing AFNet S core service operations and ISN infrastructure from the MCs. Promotes system operational efficiency by standardizing management processes and automating them whenever possible.
Prior AF Experience (Officer, Enlisted, Civilian) in cyber career field
Experience in Operating and Maintaining AF Network (former Director of Operations, Squadron Commander, flight commander/SUPT or experience in Command and Control Center.)
Manages subordinate management and/or experienced professionals who exercise significant latitude and independence. Often heads one or more departments.
Plans, conducts and supervises assignments, generally involving larger and more important projects or multiple projects. Evaluates and determines changes in methods or procedures in assigned area of responsibility. Determines candidates for employment/termination, conducts performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff and is responsible for the application of company policies.
Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 12 years of experience or a Master's with 10 years of experience. At least 4 years in a management capacity.
